I think Team Duck Fucking Sucks definitely rules and was punk rock, since the whole dynamic of the fight was that Team Tection had the far better stats yet ultimately still got owned. What does it say that a team of D-Classes who fucking suck could go toe-to-toe with you?

I had the opposite experience of Jake with drumming. I took private lessons for a few years in high school from a guy who was a music teacher at another school. He knew MY school's music teacher/band leader, and tried multiple times to get me to join their jazz/stage band but I was way to socially anxious for that.

As an elementary school teacher, I can confirm that Murph is probably correct about why Jake was pushed off of the Drums and onto the sax. Sometimes a kids gotta be drafted into something less exciting because of the logistics of the situation. It’s never fun, but it’s gotta be done

I am a first year middle school band director. We have to turn kids away from drums all the time because it’s always the most popular. Music isn’t written for 20 drums and 5 clarinets, it’s the other way around! So Jake, I’m sure you could’ve drummed, but some other kids were just better :)

Re: expeditions retreat--some dnd spells seem so frustratingly specific that while they seem really cool on paper but they feel like wasting a preparation slot. Like knock--you might never encounter a lock

it would be kind of nice if you could swap prepared spells after a short rest. it's frustrating to be like "ah we should teleport somewhere but i don't have it prepared...i guess let's sleep for 8 hours." As it is, you have to be so careful about what you choose to prepare

I was able to go to both Austin and Dallas shows it was so much fun! I made sure to hit up a bucees on the way back to San Antonio lol. If you do come back for another show and are able to stop by a bucees I would recommend the lemon pepper or bohemian jerky, great for road trips!

Chiming in a bit late to say thanks to Emily and the gang for inspiring me to pick up music again. Similar story of being shamed out of it young, so I only ever played the piano home alone and plucked away. But hearing you are all just picking up instruments and jamming made it sound so fun! I just got home and set up my new 88 key keyboard. Can't wait to learn some of the music from the show ^_^ cheers!

Same thing happened to me with drums. Tried out for drums and my band director said no, which was INSANE to me in hindsight because I'd already played piano for like 8 years at this point, why would you not let the piano player into percussion since they won't have to learn the xylophone but WHATEVER. She essentially forced me into playing trombone - by not accepting "I don't want to play trombone" as a reason to not play trombone - which I proceeded to suck at for 3.5 years until surprise surprise, they asked me to move to percussion to play xylophone.

It would be cool to build in a mechanic where you could pull out your spell book or meditate for a short rest to "quick learn" a spell to swap into your prepped spells, but you could only use it at L1 because it would be just a cursory read over.

I've gotten into Dimension 20 because I needed more content that included y'all so listening to Emily talk about Fig and being in the know about it was great. Also the beauty that is Emily playing drums while Zac plays bass was a wonderful real life inverse nod to Fantasy High and it was so great
