this is painful to listen to. a couple bad features does not make rangers a worse class, they're the highest DPR martial (gloomstalker makes that easy but hunter and swarmkeeper are both strong) regardless of those ribbon features. On the Ugly Duckling: H.C. Andersen refused to have any pictures taken of him from the front because he considered himself extremely ugly. He also had mega depression and was most likely either bi or gay and he had a *lot* of internalized thoughts on that. One of the more interesting figures in Danish history, alongside our king who lost every war and most of the kingdom. Thank you, Christian den Fjerde, very cool

Gloom stalker + war cleric can fire a bow as a ranged option. You also get divine favor for a weaker hunters mark damage wise, but no need to change targets. I guess lower duration too.

'Guards! Guards!' Is one of my all time favorite books. A brilliant examination of classic fantasy tropes with a witty 'Hitchhiker's Guide' sense of humor. I couldn't recommend it more strongly. Sybil Ramkin, the character Emily mentions, is one of the best plus sized characters in the entire fantasy genre.

Had to jump on and throw my two cents about Animorphs and Shoresy, both of which I love almost as much as NADDPOD. -The crew is right to be confused about who wrote Animorphs. During publication, only K.A. Applegate was credited. This was because co-author Michael Grant was technically on the run from the law after jumping bail years earlier. I only found this out in the last year or so (and I'm an animorphs maniac) so I don't think this is general knowledge. -The game sticks in Shoresy are just ice cream cones, which are nicknamed 'sticks,' not actual hockey sticks.

So it turns out that this girl I went to university with had, like me, read Animorphs as a kid. Someone had spoiled that Rachel dies to me and I told her (I didn't care, not like I'll necessarily finish the series in my 30s), but she got really upset that I spoiled this, even though she hadn't read one of their books in like a decade 😅
