And on sundays ill do an exfoliating clay face mask Idk if it does anything but I def don't break out as often and It makes me slow down at the end of the day and keeps me from snacking cause I only do skincare after brushing my teeth

While 'Guns germs and steel' presents some interesting ideas in an engaging way, it has received a fair bit of criticism since it's release. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to poo poo someone's recommendation, but I think it's important to point out when a work of non-fiction should be read with a critical eye.

It's one thing to avoid broken builds that would be less fun to listen to on a podcast but fully avoiding feats because people would bitch about some situational advantage rolls is super unfortunate. Happy that Jake's interested in history! Buuuut I absolutely hate this book. His emphasis on geographic determinism grossly undermines societal and cultural implications that mostly disproves his attempted anthropology. Globalization demonstrates this well, as many instances throughout history are shaped by geo-politics and faith. For example, 14th century admiral Zheng He could have conquered the pacific, the Eurasian coast, and East-Africa as admiral of the largest naval fleet at the time (the Ming Dynasty then boasted a flotilla of 9-12 mast ships, which dwarfed the the 3-4 mast Spanish Galleon 200 years earlier than their inception); what happens instead is that the ships are used for tributary collection for the emperor, and eventually left to rot on the south eastern shore once Confucianism and an economic crisis fails to inspire the empire to look outward--rather, the cultural shift in china brought upon an age of inward thinking. No germs, guns or steel here, just humans... humaning.

It makes me so sad that Emily feels limited on what she can do because of toxic people, I love listening to the awesome combos and feats that she comes up with!

Whenever Emily casually mentions the hate she gets for playing well I'm like "defending Emily online isn't enough I need a sword". It's the fucking hypocrisy of it all - if Emily is doing well, they complain that her build is broken or that she is cheating and if she plays suboptimal they say that she isn't pulling her weight/dragging the rest of the party down. As a DM I'm always happy when my players do insane builds and get super powerful because that means I get to use stronger monsters and more difficult encounters, so I really don't see the point why taking a feat that suits your needs (mounted combatant for Callie and mobile for Sol) is a bad thing. Murph is a great DM so he would still make them work for it.
