Absolutely loved everything in the Crick - it just feels like home. But… *spoiler* oh my GOD that part with Calder’s dream was holding-my-breath-without-realizing-it SCARY. 🫣

Cooper Erikson

The missed opportunity to do a callback to the mana wyrms when Callie first rides the serpent.

Lana Kole

Oh my GODDD the rolls at the end were so tense!!! holy shit lol

Lana Kole

The description and the music at the end was so magical, this whole episode was chefs kiss

Alyssa

*spoiler* I almost cried when they mentioned Cooter was his dad

Austin Wiggin

Shout out to Caldwell, that muscle milk joke was hilarious and under the radar

Michael P Mendoza

This is my second time listening to this and I JUST realized that Solder would make a perfect couple name for Sol and Calder

Venus Astria

THE CRICK! It feels like coming home

frances alice black

I was not emotionally prepared to hear the Crick music!!!

Cj Ferrigno

Getting to visit the crick twice in two days, what a treat. Thanks for coming to Denver ya'll!

Alex Moore

Caldwell’s shenanigans always accomplish the most during the intro rhymes

TonyB

Just like the smile that crept on my face just at the word Jolene, who says you can’t go back home

Amit Khandhadia

Jake’s rolling nearly gave me a heart attack.

Alan Ma

I gotta say the gradual escalation of Ultros' and Calder's relationship is so organic and satisfying. It's not like Murph is just forcing that storyline along, Jake is legitimately getting increasingly tempted by the helm's power as the stakes get higher

Ryan Amely

[spoiler] Should Calder have failed the Ultriss Con-Save? He had a total of 10 charges so the DC should’ve been 8+10. [spoiler] With his shout out to the 2 crew roll +7 —> 9 +2 on the bless —> 11 + 6 on the bardic —> 17 which should’ve been one lower than the DC 18. Or is my math wrong? Just curious if I’m misremembering the stats.

Psykodactyle

Can't wait for Glen to one day be revealed as the child of Cooter lol Hah, I knew it!

Casey Brenner

I’m driving cross-country next week, so I SHOULD start saving up my podcasts for the drive, but, also, I don’t want to wait to listen. 😫🫣

Kyle Veach

AH THE CRICK, MY HEART IS FULL

hell

dc is 17, not 18!

Ryan Amely

When Calder first got the helm the rules were stated that it’d be a DC of 8 + number of charges(10) so the DC should’ve been 18 since Calder had 10 charges.

atlasrising

I've made a deal with myself that I absolutely HAVE to finish the uni work I'm avoiding in order to listen to this ep!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT

Bonky Fiasco

Loved all the callbacks to C1 - Callie collecting nannerflies in a jar, Calder pledging himself to MawMaw....I was smiling so much!

Sawyer Rappa

oh my god. i feel absolutely nuts. the unique euphoria of hearing your chosen name used on your favorite show. incredible, i'm gonna be smiling all day, i've got a dang spring in my step

Professor Pratt

This is beyond theater of the mind…the description of the grandma tree is burned in my brain…I know we won’t see moonshine but I like to think she’s watching from a distance.

Justin Cockrell

1. Love being back at the crick 2. Calder whispering “crush me” absolutely destroyed me at my desk today

Doom Foretold

This is like the best episode of the podcast yet

Alan Ma

Also I love Jake going from a character who never bends the knee to a character who can't stop bending the knee. That's growth right there

Emmett Moon

Extremely large handshake emoji

masterofmerc .

Calder should be possessed. When Murph gave him the helm he said DC 8 plus the number of charges and he had 10 charges DC should have been 18 and he only hit a 17. Calder should be possessed.

Lilybet Gates

You’re probably right idk tho They’ll probably shout it out at some point but honestly I think the mistake didn’t take away from the story or the game so… personally I don’t really care? Dang that’s a big one tho That’s like Gemma and the luck point wow

Lilybet Gates

Hey, anyone know what Sanderson module they received? Been a Cosmere fan for a few years now and would love to explore that in DnD!!!

Saru

Yeah, but Murph said the DC was 17 so the DC is 17 and Jake hit the DC. So even if Murph misremembered it in that instance, it doesn't matter because he is the DM and put it the DC to a 17. That shit happens all the time to me in my home games and I thought it worked out for a very satisfying narrative in this episode so I personally don't see a problem.

masterofmerc .

To each their own for sure but I personally like when mechanics that have been agreed on before hand are enforced. Would've been narrrativly amazing for them to have to save Calder. We could've gotten C3s Jevlin. No hate or anything just a rare bit of DM fuckery from Murph.

Jack Jones

Me too! I’d love to check it out

An_Armed_Bear

Surprised nobody suggested trying to get audience with the High King about the whole conspiracy against him and maybe smooth things over with him to prevent war with the Crick. Maybe Queen Umberspore and the others can let him know if they're still going to try and get Shroomrot released.

FusRohNahSon

"I rub honey on my tits" Dats a bit o MoonShine in dere

Raechel Crosby

Omg that reveal at 57 minutes… gasped at work so loud my coworker had to make sure I was good lol

SJ Faubert

As a knitter, the idea of falling asleep knitting stressed me out way too much. It would be waaaay too easy to drop stitches. Well-done with the horror story, Caldwell.

Justin S

But this is ridiculous

Peter S.

I enjoyed it but I get the feeling that these episodes are getting shorter by the months

Megan Ortiguerra-Rojas

AH IVE FINALLY CAUGHT UP. ya know, they don’t make helmets for frogs… but they do make crocheted bucket hats or something

Claudine

Aaaahh, going to the Crick feels like going home ❤ so much warmth

k.allen

Listening to the stuff at the crick felt like a warm hug from an old friend that was with you during some dark days and wow did I need it

Isaac wainwright

You are right!! He should have failed!! Not complaining though haha!!
