Murph made adc ziggs

Marianne

As a Riz Gukgak stan, I am ECSTATIC to see Murph play another gun-toting goblin with absolutely no chill.

Gurl Luigi

you made three actual psychos, legit afraid of this group...

Audrey

I so, so desperately want to see this chaotic and terrible trio play. Please.

Drew Worth

Everything I’ve heard about Pathfinder made it seem like it was sooo cool, thanks Emily for making this rundown of some of the basics, I’m gonna go out and buy me some Pathfinder books now!

Jacob Edenfield

So excited to hear you're experimenting with Pathfinder 2e. I'm playing my first long-term 2e campaign right now, and you'll have a blast. One thing to note: all those little +2 and -1 circumstance changes really add up. You'll be surprised how often they push something from a success to a critical success and vice versa.

Sand Panda

I use to listen to a podcast called: Pod Called Quest. It was somehow through them (maybe a req) that I found you all, NADDPod. So I for one would LOVE to hear you all play Pathfinder of any edition (or heck, any other ttrpg).

Big Jazz Band

I just started learning about Pathfinder 2e because of the whole #OpenDnD situation and I can say I'm pleasently surprised by it and by these posts! Can't wait to hear you all play Pathfinder, I've upped my sub to the mixed bag tier so that I can get in on it!

drednauht

I hope they stay 5e. Adding crunch to a radio style drama wouldn't be great. That said, I ran 3.5/PF1 for forever, and get that a bit more crunch can add texture to a RPG sandwich

Humble Goblin

The crew should check out "open legend" next, i just started a campaign in it and im loving it so far.

SoupLightning

Literally next mkxed bag should be a pathfinder game

Meghan

Fellow goblin lovers! I cannot recommend the short pre-written module called “We Be Goblins” it’s a pathfinder module that goes over the goblin lore, there’s a wedding to cause chaos at, and of course a myriad of fights! It’s a perfect dip into the game but doesn’t take long :) we played it as our first try at 2e and now we’ve been converted for 2 years.

foster the boneless duck

i'm immediately in love with this crew!!! i really hope we get a little mixed bag mini campaign dm'd by emily!!! i'm so excited for this!!!

Ethan Armstrong

Super excited for this happening. Seeing Emily's system mastery in a system like pathfinder would be incredible and pathfinder really makes DMing so much easier in my experience in how creative you can be while not having to wing it on balance like CR often makes you do. Also the system has such strong support for making good fighters and weird little guys so it really caters to Caldwell and Jake. :D

Megan

YEEES!! I want to see these characters in action already!! XD cant wait for the pathfinder 2e one shot and moooore!! ^_^

Ron A.

I love pathfinder...just want to say that if you guys decide to start playing pathfinder more FOR ANY REASON I will fully support it.

Basil McDonough

There's some reason i cant put my finger on that made me curious about pathfinder 2e recently, thanks for putting these out at a serendipitous time.

Lindsay Lee

We’re ready, give us the Pathfinder 2e mixed bag we’re READY!!

Polly Theobald

Emily man, she's the fucking coolest. Love all of this research into this game and her builds are incredible. What an amazing person she is

Caguro

From my understanding, WotR is a Pathfinder 1st Edition exclusive module, although it might have been converted to Pathfinder 2e by the guys over at the Pathfinder subreddit :shrugs: As far as great module campaigns go, I've heard that Abomination Vaults is fantastic for introducing new players, but the go to for dipping your toes into the system would have to be the Beginner Box

Jeffrey H.

Emily running a campaign with these three bozos sounds like a wonderful mixed bag and maybe even a next big campaign in the future!

Caguro

13th age is goated, love how the designers got rid of the grid-based paradigm in favor of a more "theatre of the mind" approach to movement and range also the Occultist class looks so cool, and the fact that each class is designed in a way to tie your character into the lore of the game from the get-go is really sick

Caguro

the resources Emily mentioned in the NADDPOD episode are fantastic if you're looking to familiar yourself with PF2e as a beginner (Rise of the Ruleslord, Rules Lawyer, NoNat1, Archives of Nethys), but I'd also recommend checking out RPGBot's introduction into the system on their blog and the PF2e subreddit / discord

Caguro

Not just a gun-toting goblin, but a dynamite-juggling tinkerer with a gun that doubles as a sword. literally the hypest gobo i've ever heard

Caguro

a pf2e mixed bag would be dope as fuck tbh

Dixon Jonathan

Wow you guys are so fun to listen to. I found your Patreon from the Pathfinder subreddit and I'm unbelievably excited to follow your pf2e exploits!

aiyana graham art

cask's voice is like either the dad or the neighbor from fairly odd parents

Jay Yoder

I really hope y’all do more of these and would love to see an exploration of Worlds or Stars Without Number.

A.E. Ross

Would love to listen to y'all play Pathfinder! this is my first in-depth intro to the system and it sounds really fun.

Katherine Gwynn

Jake's reaction to Critical Specialization made me think y'all could play Pf2e for "Eldermourne II: The Reckoning" (if it happens). I imagine Hank could do some cool stuff with a guy'sarm! Love to see u encouraging system exploration, great shakeup of the off-week, and really enjoying "Bahumia 2.1: Draggin' it" (WiP).

Hakari

Definitely looking forward to hearing you guys play this new system!

tophergrace

would love to see a trinyvale type thing on the main feed in pathfinder

Robert Cowdrey

I really hope we get to see these characters sometime soon! My group has been thinking into pf2e due to all the D&D unrest currently and I had a completely different picture of the system and these two episodes made me way more interested.

Eric Bouchey

Skaarl is instantly my favorite fictional character in all media.. I want an animation of this party!! Lol

Emmett Moon

I would love a oneshot or campaign with these characters god damn

skyzablu .

Please play pathfinder this sounds so awesome

JR Lonergan

Please please please play these soon

Thermovore

I would love to hear a pathfinder campaign. One thing I loved about c1 was yall learnin and foolin with rules. Plus, theres SO MUCH 5e content out there that it’s no longer an exciting system to listen to (yall do amazing but for me its despite the system not bc of it)

Cody McKervey

So we're gonna cancel the current campaign to do Pathfinder now right?😂

Ben Stephenson

I would love if Pf2e (or other system) is used in place as the story that would be created would be awesome. They didn't even touch any of the Free Architype stuff (from what I remember) and there are some fun ones to add in other abilities

Lorelei and Kyra Newly Weds

Emily this is your chance, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE run a Pathfinder 2e game with Mario characters so you can claim your own characters for Naddpod pool as Murph added DK and Caldwell added Sonic. If you don't hurry then the weird bailiff dude may steal the idea like he steals tuckers scraps

Nick Garito

I will pay in blood for a campaign with these characters. Just tell me how many gallons and it'll be done

Lemon Moon

I would love a pathfinder campaign, since it would teach me how the system worked at a basic level which would make jumping in easier

han!!!!

This is an insane cut but as Caldwell was talking in character voice i could only think of Arte, that dog that owned the curio shop in Webkinz. The voice is so similar

Ian Hanson

Pathfinder 2e looks sexy 😎

I love Mike Buch

Hello, so I'm in a campaign that uses a different system than 5e and it's called Savage worlds. If everyone liked Pathfinder I think they would love savage worlds

SilentFlux

I heard a lot about PF2e lately (for obvious reasons), but I've been playing and running 5e for many years and planned to stick with that because that's what both my players and I know and are comfortable with. The main feed episode this week sparked my interest, but after hearing the character creations on the short rest, I was sold and ended up getting the PF2e beginner's box. I'm a lazy GM and don't like to change things, but Emily's (and everyone else's) excitement was contagious and her explanations were very easy to understand. I've also played SW5e a few times as well and those comparisons helped a ton. Thank you 2 Crew for inspiring this set-in-their-ways GM to try something new!

Trevor Rogers

I would love to see a play test mixed bag that would be fucking awesome

Obed Pacheco

Yes, please!! So looking forward to this - especially since I'm looking to learn the PF2e as well!

Jacob Leggatt

Wanted to add my voice and say I loved these episodes and would be very excited to see more PF2 content! And also for anyone who wants to try it but is feeling intimidated, the Beginner Box they mentioned is really incredible and has everything you need to play up to level 3.

Nick Neverman

Being a great crafter is also awesome for the transferring runes ability, god the depth you can get into with PF2e characters is so fun

Ian Vargas

These episodes were extremely fun to listen to and it was cool to see how excited everyone was about the system and character creation! Would definitely be ok with more Pathfinder content!

Krysti778

This sounds awesome I can't wait for this!

Peydon Bush

Id loooove if y’all did a mixed bag (at least!) of this! Ive never played before and would love to hear it in action, sounds cool as hell

NotAnotherCuatropleBypasS

I really look forward to these guys playing something in Pathfinder 2e! Wait until the discover free archetype rules so they can customize their characters even further!

KennyH

holy shit, Murph's goblin voice was had me DYING with laughter, especially when Emily was reading the stats he was trained in. "Intimidation..." - "I'll KILL YOU"

Hunter Wright

Honestly, with all the shit WotC is pulling rn with licensing and pulling the rug out from independent creators, I'm 100% on board with more Pathfinder content. Seems like it would have way more opportunity for shenanigans that the Crew loves to try anyways (maybe Caldwell won't be blown off of towers, or his frog friendship will actually work? Lol).

Robert Guilford

Loved both episodes! I’d definitely listen to an arc with y’all playing PF2e

Roo

So psyched to hear you all discuss this! And as an aside, I had no idea that Pathfinder had FF8-style gunblades! That is wonderful and amazing!

Ron A.

PATHPOD

Caredwen

This was really fun! I don’t know the first thing about Pathfinder, and it was great to learn. Thanks, Emily, for the research. I would love to hear a one-shot with these characters!

Samuel Burris

We definitely need a trinivale esk pathfinder campaign that fills some of the gaps between main campaign eps

Jay Gar

I miss the side campaigns, I'd love to listen to Emily GM 6-10 episodes of this crew as a side thing! Dungeon Court has taken over the main feed!

Andrick Neal

I want more of that goblin freak

Naarg

If the goblin wants to chuck bombs around, look into the Alchemist Dedication feat.

Evan Sherlock-Hubbard

A decade ago I was an avid Pathfinder 1 player having come from 3.5 originally. Later I picked up 5th edition as a way to play with people new to TTRPGs and of course we have a lot of fun, but the way that Pathfinder 2.0 was described to me originally as it came out seemed like it would be a major hurdle to learn, so I had never picked it up because what I had was "Good enough". Your presentation on how PF 2 worked, and the characters that you guys created... It instantly brought back that feeling of creativity and crunchy fun that I'd forgotten Pathfinder gave me. I am absolutely going to be picking up some books on this ruleset, and I would love so much to see these three characters brought to life with the hilarious, earnest soul that you all are so good at creating, and I'd also love to learn the rules of the game alongside you all. I've seen online discussions on the two systems, I've seen YouTube videos describing 2.0, none of that brought me around to the idea of switching systems the way that you guys excitedly chatting about mechanics and characters did.

CharlieChase

Emily is so so rad for this and I’m PRAYING we get a campaign

Steven Collins

This sounds amazing. I’m ready for 2 shot or a full on mini Emily campaign!

Rowan T Buck

I'd love to see this as a mixed bag :D

chaoticnuetral66

I hope you all decide to do this as a mixed bag, I'd love to see these 3 in action!

Wyl

+1 for a mixed bag of this gang with emily in the dm seat! this was amazing!

Marilyn Whelan

Would absolutely love to see these 3 maniacs for a mixed bag!

Scott

Has anyone ever heard Cask and Bev’s dad on the same pod?

Kris White

Just wanted to let Jake know, I played a skald that was a heavy metal bard that inspired rage for pathfinder 2e. PCGen.org is a great resource for creating characters.

Joseph Niski

This would be such a fun trio to listen to!

Gabriel Miller

been talking to other fans of the pod and everyone is so excited about the prospect of y’all getting into pathfinder. hearing y’all learn 5e in real time was huge for my understanding of the system. if you’re worried about alienating people, know that we’re here for YOU not d&d!

burnso

Would LOVE to see these characters in action. There was something very organic about these two episodes and you guys diving head first into unknown waters. Very refreshing. I would love to see you try out this and other systems (PbtA? Shadow of the Demon Lord? Whitehack?) as ultimately I just don’t like 5e very much.

Stephen Laster

I'm super excited to eventually hear y'all play some Pathfinder!!!! Pathfinder has been my preferred system since it came out. :)

James B.

Murph’s character reminds me of Junkrat from Overwatch!

Craig Weatherhead

This was amazing to listen to. Any continued content with these 3 characters and Emily as DM would be awesome!

RoadDietsRule

I will be trying Pathfinder 2e now

Tyler Sharp

I’m very into this, I would love to hear some pathfinder games. It would be pretty cool if campaign 4 was pf2e, I learned how to play DND 5e from this show so that’s kinda how I would need to learn pathfinder too

Caitrin

Simply could not be more excited to have you jumping into the world of Pathfinder! It’s so so fun and customizable, and could be so exciting to try, especially for the more experienced players among you! Now to combine Pathfinder and Starwars 5e and get you to play Starfinder! 😍

ShrimplyAwesome

I can’t wait to see these characters in action. I also can’t wait for the reaction when a character inevitably dies from a failed shenanigan, as most of my experience with pathfinder is that it’s a pretty deadly system at times.

Triti

I'd love to see you guys try it out! That trio is too fun to just fade away

Jonah Wilson

I’d love to see more pathfinder

HellishRebuker the NB DM PhD with diagnosed ADHD

Listening to the start of NADDPOD really helped me learn about D&D and got me interested enough to try it myself. I've been really curious about Pathfinder, so I'd be thrilled to passively learn about it while enjoying a oneshot for you guys!

xyz chaos

Please for the absolute love of dice Christ play those characters

Zizi

Are you guys thinking of doing a campaign with those characters? Because they sound hilarious!

Prince.3ric

Is Jake just that serial killer from jujitsu kaisen that wants to make furniture from his enemies bones? 🤣

Morgan

Yes! I need this campaign in my life! We are just now learning pathfinder 2e and super excited for this.

Connor K

Really fun! Not sure I’m ready for a full pf2e campaign yet but would love an Emily run one shot using this system. Hot boy summer is hands down one of my top 3 favorite dnd things of all time and would love to see Emily’s play system with these outrageously decked out characters.

Greg Luca

I really really would love to see a campaign with these characters! It would be really interesting to learn alongside y’all so I could eventually bring this game to my players. Love the content and love having Emily as THE host

Peter J. Kremer

Whatever it is you want to do, I listen because you're all entertaining people and I enjoy the content. That said, I'm a big fan of PF2E and I'd love to hear you all run through a side quest in it at some point. Have a nice day. :)

Kyle Morley

I started playing pathfinder about a year ago and honestly I love to see more people getting into it.

Cole Carpenter

Pathfinder is a little more tough but I'd trust you four to tackle it no problem at this point

Jack Parsons

These character builds really help contextulise the way that gameplay will feel. I feel like my player group would be resistant to change, but the idea of solo seshing level ups to make there characters the way they want is waaaay satisfying in this system.

Thomas Hegarty

I have been curious about Pathfinder recently and I’m super excited to try it now!! Really excited to hear y’all play these characters!!! Great job Emily!!!!!

Sam

I want to hear this game!!

The new Honda Prolapse EV

So, I'm guessing this is in response to the Wizards debacle. I don't think all of theD&D creators are going to have to jump ship, it seems Wizards are back pedaling like crazy. But, if the Two Crew feels that's what they need to do I'm all in! Personally I don't care what system is used, I'm here because you guys are funny and talented people. I'm happy to go with you wherever this journey leads.

Lux

Full support for the 2 crew. This system sounds dope.

Joshua Stadler

I want this so bad. I just made a level 10 Witch that can fight with his hair. The three-action process is AMAZING! Also, the fact that you can choose how many actions to cast certain spells to make them beefier is so cool!

Tristin Lewis

I made a Pathfinder 2e character for my bud's new campaign last night...only took us 4 hours!

Kyle Hopkins

FYI Nat 1s and Nat 20s do matter. They decrease and increase the degree of success. For example, if your bonus to attack is high and normally you hit with most attacks but you rolled a nat 1 this reduces the normal hit to a miss. If you roll an attack that missed but you rolled a nat 20 this would make the attack hit. If you roll for a strike and get 10 over their AC this would be a crit, but if you rolled a nat 1 this crit would now turn into a normal hit.

Adam

This sounds awesome! Cannot wait to hear more and be apart of the adventure

Sunshine

Got major Patrick Warburton vibes from Jake’s voice (and that can never be something less than a compliment )

Eric Zagar

Bring these freaks to life please!

Yan Giroux

Seriously, this system sounds amazing! As a D&D purist, I was skeptical, but it's actually not poison lol. Murph hit it on the nose saying that this would be interesting for people who have gotten tired of 5e's simplicity. Please play as these fellas! I'm on board! Also, thank you Emily for all the hard work! Still the GOAT!

Paul Coley

Here to to say that I'd love to hear you folks give Pathfinder 2e a real go. I expect listening to any ttrpg you folks play to be a good time, but from what I'm hearing this gives you a lot more tools to work with.

Harper Quest

I had never heard your podcast (though I have seen a lot of you on Dropout!). I signed up because I'm so excited for PF2e content.

Garrett Durham

I am giving my obligatory comment saying I’d love a one shot of of this.

Stephanie Beal

This was such a good approach to introducing a new system. I had always thought I didn't want to learn another TTRPG system unless it's something more collaborative or rules-light, but Emily definitely sold me on Pathfinder 2E. Also I love Murph's enthusiasm about getting to play a goblin.

Dire Mouse Rat

Just think, if they switch to Pathfinder, they won't have to change the name of the podcast! 😃

Princess Ringpop

I would love to see atleast a Pathfinder one-shot!

Cinnamon's #3 Fan

Got excited enough about you guys trying out PF2e that I subscribed! Fingers crossed for a oneshot. Very fun hearing how excited Emily was, and Jake being a sport about the changes.

Graf

Joined as a patron because I’m primarily a pathfinder 2 player. The system is amazing, I think you captured the attractive parts well. I think some of the wilder ideas (jamming something in the crocodiles mouth) are not covered by existing rules. I run a lot of games for kids, who are similarly creative, and some DM fiat will probably be required. The system -is- structured to enable it (e.g. any skill/class ability/etc can be used to do anything). So you could use your cooking lore check to try to neutralize a poison (skill vs dc) and it would work in the rules. But the DM has to say it would work (absent some skill feat I’m not aware of).

TheEnderKitty1

Rise of The Rule Lords responded in their podcast!

Chloe Grima

Obligatory comment to play pathfinder one shot as a mixed bag or mini series. Also got me very interested in pathfinder. Thanks for the resources too :)

ACK

Was inspired by this and the main ep to have a look at the core rulebook (I'd be keen to see both more Behind the Screens and also Pathfinder one shots!), and re nat 20s found this on page 10: "You also often score a critical success by rolling a 20 on the die when attempting a check (before adding anything). Likewise, rolling a 1 on the dice when attempting a check often results in a critical failure" That's literally as far as I read though, so don't know how that would look in practice. Maybe best of both worlds though?

Abonie

NAPFPOD when

jimmy serio

Please play more of this i love pathfinder and more big shows like yours need to explore more systems. Love you guys thanks.

Ryan Lithgow

I am an avid board gamer, and I think that Emily just did one of the most interesting and oddly absent things among the tabletop hobbies: a pitch! So often, the thematic or bare bones premise of a game is presented, which lacks the deep-dive into what makes individual rules beneficial and detrimental. Both the in-depth analysis of what the rules MEAN for the game system alongside the question-response format with the rest of the NADDPOD crew make for a far more interesting understanding of the reasons to spring for or avoid a different game (system). Maybe I should think about coming up with similar pitches for reviewing or suggesting board games. Anyways, I write all this to say, thank you Emily! Allow me to add on to the pile of positive feedback you've been receiving!

Bryce Granger Patton

Definetly would love to seeyou guys do a Pathfinder series. Love your 5e stuff but the PF2e character creation really seems to fit your group dynamic and the style of characters and shenanigans you get up to.

Nicole Jordan

Omg I need to see these characters in action! Thank you so much Emily for this delight

Jennifer

Would LOVE to see these characters/more Pathfinder!

Isaiah

This sounds so amazing. I would love a mixed bag and if it goes well then I would absolutely love an actual campaign of this. Also Phillys Live show was amazing!

Elle Senn

please do a pathfinder mixed bag!! I love DMILY!

thedragonllama

I am SO down for adventures with this new crew in what seems like an awesome system!

Joakim Almgren

Awesome stuff! I would love to hear a one shot

Micah Edmonds

Absolutely please play this system with these characters. I need more high-pitched Chaos Murph in my life.

Mj Gonzalez

with WotC trying their best to kill their own games, just imagine "NAPFPod" also please do as much pathfinder as you see fit! id love to learn pathfinder, and id love to learn it the same way i learned DnD, through NADDPod

Britt Hobson

I was thinking the same thing. What about “Not another actual play podcast” NAAPPOD.

Taj

This system seems so cool and fun. I neeeeed a one shot if not a whole campaign! I feel like this system would really suit Em’s DM style too

Lilly Anderson

this sounds so cool! please do a one shot, hearing how it actually runs would be so interesting!!!

Sam Emmitt

I LOVE THIS! Those characters sound fun as can be! I'd love to see what character Emily creates. This has really got me interested in trying pathfinder. Thank you for the fun short rest!

S Koster

Pathfinder goblins are the BEST!

swampy

would love to see a Pathfinder oneshot or even mini series!

Asa Miller

GIVE US THE MINI SERIES

Dangerously Dave

Is there some where people (maybe Emily) recommend I start with looking at pathfinder? it seems like such a huge prospect

Nik

You all need to play this system

Pokeylope

It's published under the OGL so the entire rulebook is just floating around the net as free as a bird. ( https://minedit.com/pathfinder-2e-pdf/ ) It's nearly 600 pages, but like Emily says the actual rules are less than 40 pages and the rest is content. Admittedly, reading the rules isn't a very engaging way to expose yourself to a new system. I can't think of any podcasts or anything that use it...

Daniel Ambrose

I definitely do want to hear them talk about other systems and I think this is a good format BUT... if we don't get a pf2e mini series I'm going to cry

Cinnamon's #3 Fan

There's a couple of ways. You can hit the reddit (genuinely one of the nicer reddits I've ever experienced, since usually they're hellscapes), whose associated discord is currently doing community led "how to learn pathfinder" games for newbies on the weekends. Learning by doing is helpful, and it never hurts to have someone to directly talk to as you play it out. The youtoube channel @HowItsPlayed has a whole series of what the terms and rules all mean, very in depth. @NoNat1s and @TheRulesLawyer are also good channels. The videos are in depth. Rise of The Rulelords is a podcast entirely about explaining the game to newbies. Archive of Nethys ( aka 2e.aonprd.com ) is the entire set of rules for free, while Pathbuilder2e is a free app and web-browser tool to help you build characters quickly and play the game while doing it. I personally learned the game by reading the core rulebook, but I'm a freak when it comes to TTRPGs, and most people don't learn like that. And, honestly? Less scary than you might think. I ran 5e for years, and 2e was pretty quick to pick up. Emily covers most of the big changes above. Maybe I'll start a little post over on the community side so people can ask me and the other experienced players questions :)

Dangerously Dave

I've played the Pathfinder video game. I can't seem to find a straight answer online to how faithful it is to the actual TTRPG , or which version its based on. Looking at the free rulebook someone just posted it seems fairly similar?

Whitney Weltz

PLEEEEASE run this game!! I love these characters!! Also, thank you Emily for all the explanations, it was amazing!!

Lucas

Would be a fun one-shot!

Nancy ArtMusic

This is so cool!! I would love to see the shenanigans these characters get up to in this system 🥰

Saikonaut

Awesome characters 👌

Fae Tragedy

I have been looking for a new system to nerd out over! Emily has sold me on learning this😍 (also I would LOVE a mini series)

Cinnamon's #3 Fan

The videogames are all currently based on Pathfinder 1st Edition, while in this podcast Emily is talking about Pathfinder 2nd Edition. The videogames are pretty faithful to 1e, but 1e is a pretty different beast from 2e.

Shaudel

I need this one shot so bad. I would also be glad to have something similar to this with Star Wars 5e and Starfinder. Emily giving us a deep dive into different systems and Murph playing a weird little guy is what I need.

Kaycee Hodges

So I haven't seen any one talking about this but this doesn't have anything to do with the new ogl bs does it?

Kaycee Hodges

Like I would like to know what they think about it because of how much they push kobold press

Bryce F.

Honestly I want this to be Campaign 4... but a one shot would be almost as cool

Bryce F.

They didn't say outright, but I would imagine they're at least trying to feel out interest in case WotC comes out with the new OGL

Some Guy Named Mason

Melora please, bless us with this beautiful, amazing, absolutely batshit trio. Campaign, mini-arc, one shot, ANYTHING, I would love to see the chaos unleashed for even just a single session. And it’d be really fun to see you all try out a soft intro into P2E! Y’all really got me into 5e, and I’d follow y’all to basically any other system if you ever wanted to branch out!

Michael Singer

Emily I’d pay for a once a month pathfinder game tier on patreon if you dm

Joshua Velo

Y'all talking about Pathfinder is what pushed me to subscribe to the Patreon. So exciting you're willing to give it a look, and seem excited by what you see!

Sebastian M.

I would LOVE to hear more of this ragtag crew of weirdos! And thank you Emily for taking the time to learn and then teach us Pathfinder. I was always curious what it’s like, this was really helpful. Could easily imagine a mini arc like hot boys or oops all monks, but also much more, if you’re angry with wotc and would like to switch to another system. I’m down!

Morse

I got invited to join a Pathfinder 2e game and this is what finally pushed me over the edge to join the Patreon. DOITDOITDOIT

CaseOPictures

I’m really digging this, hoping to hear more! I love learning the new mechanics

Archimedes64

Pathfinder 2e definitely has a bit of a different vibe, but definitely excited to see these little freaks in action!

Zac

Yes plz

Qudaci

Will Caldwell draw this party on the next stream please? : )

Nurse LaCroix

Emily is truly goated with the sauce, busting it down PF2e style

Nurse LaCroix

Absolutely wild neighbor energy! You could call this party a cul-de-sac haha. Bring back the Dungeon Docent! Promote her to Dungeon Doctor after doing all this research! (Also if anyone says anything bad about the way Emily said Shadenfreude I'm going to force you to read the names of small towns in upstate New York)

David Pazmino

Would absolutely love to hear a campaign for pf2e I've been super interested in swapping over to it with my group.

M Weisberg

I absolutely LOVED this episode, watching people building characters is so inspiring and exciting! It’s perfect for both players and GMs and frankly anyone who needs to make characters for any reason—writers, artists, etc. I would LOVE for this to become a whole new series the way Dungeon Court did.

Sara

I would listen to some Pathfinder one shots. I care more about your fun personalities than exact systems.

Victor Zayas

OMG Emily! you did so good explaining P2E! I been trying to learn for some days now but no luck! Hope you do a part 2 once you learn more :)

Marlon Skutnik

You guys inspired me to take a look into pathfinder for the first time, and im hooked! Ild love to see the dungeon docent and those three wonderful misfits in a session (or a miniseries, or...)

Danny

i'd been meaning to learn p2e for a while, and this episode was exactly the intro i needed! thanks emily!

Danny

if you were looking at other systems for future Behind the Screens episodes, i think you guys could really sink your teeth into ICON

Excelsidorks!

Personally love the idea of a Pathfinder mini-series! 🤓

Scrap

Seconding the ICON recommendation

Rain

I can't wait to see more Behind the Screen episodes! Would love to learn more about other table top games overall. Also if you guys ever decide to do a mini Pathfinder campaign, I know I would love to see it ❤️

Richard Hanton-Rutherford

I'll absolutely listen to and enjoy whatever they make, but if this is going where lots of us assume it is, Pathfinder feels like a step in the wrong direction to me. Absolutely nothing against the game or people who play it, but for a show like NADDPOD you want less crunch, not more. If they're seriously looking at other options I'd be more excited about Savage Worlds (and I'd be interested to see what Powergaming Emily makes of a system with no classes where character advancement is totally open) or PBTA.

CENTSTARR

Honestly I always thought Pathfinder was an anti-roleplaying system. I hate boring dungeon crawls. But Ya'll have made me feel like there could be some fun here.

A Tiny Living Room

Any news on a Pathfinder mini-series or even just one shot? Would love to see the two crew jump into this system. Has a lot of roleplay potential that is difficult to capture mechanically in a system like DnD

Jacob Ibarra

I’ve been obsessed with P2E lately, I hope y’all do a mini-series or more! Already in love with these characters!

MC

Every time I’ve played P2E, I’ve found it super anti-roleplay and boring, but that could just be the people I was playing with… I’m hesitant to get back into it

Logan

PF2E is my favorite rpg system, and I'm glad to see y'all taking a look at it.

xeladonnovan

Scarl sounds like a Goblin version of live action Shaggy from scooby doo and I love it!!!

Nina Rudd

hi! i’m people and I am interested!!

James Dolezal

I was started playing some Pathfinder 2e myself so I am hungry for some good actual plays in the system and would love to see a NADDPOD mini series or even just a one shot!

heavy harry

When is this happening???????????? WHEN!!!???!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Rotem Cohen

Just saying would love to see a one shot!

Sedona

Still early awaiting this mixed bag!!!

Adrian

Pleaseee play pf2e

Kass

The crunch is so satisfying- I played PF 1e during the 4e drought and it sounds like 2e has a lot going for it. Very cool!

Ryan McMahon

I would love to hear these characters

Raphael Miller-Figueroa

Please do a Star Wars one-shot with Murph as a Wookie, Jake as a failed human entrepreneur and Caldwell as an assassin droid.

Melissa Shilale

Accidentally listened to this in Axford-Powers order, I love these goofs :’) Jake’s passionate artist build, incredible. Signed, a Cinnamon-addict.

Sami Kerwin

this was so awesome, more Pathfinder!!

Sami Kerwin

truly, having listened to the Pathfinder 2 shot first, i have not laughed as hard as i have during that in a while. this is really inspiring me to see if my crew would do a dip into Pathfinder

The Wizard Skoolie

I haven't listened yet, but nothing in the world would make me happier than if Jan & Troy made a return

Con

Absolutely yoked y'all are looking at PF2e

Frank

Yes! So happy you guys are testing this. Do you guys think you'll ever do a warhammer bonus episode? Maybe a wiki-wander?

J

So glad you guys mentioned this. I basically learned 5e from campaign one lol

kitty heite

Pathfinder is a ton of fun.

Xacris

As someone that helped playtest for Pathfinder since 2008, I feel so indulgent listening to you all gush about the rules for Pathfinder. Hope y'all have fun, and now I can start submitting my home rules for Pathfinder when you do more Tortle Tanks

Patrick Harry

Oh shit! I am hyped for this. Such a good crunchy system! Seems right up Murph and Emily’s ally due to their enjoyment of 3.5 over 5e

Austin Johnson

It will be nice to see pathfinder approached by comedians. My experience with pathfinder was with a bunch of crunchy rules lawyers and it felt like living through all the cases in dungeon court but without the much deserved punishments.

Tre K

I haven’t even finished listening to the main episode yet, but I wanted to highly recommend playing the Pathfinder game Wrath of The Righteous to you guys, it’ll be a great intro to the system and a good way to find out what classes you’re interested in!

DemonLordSparda

Genuinely Tortle Tank seems like a better fit for Pathfinder.

DemonLordSparda

I want a Mixed Bag with these oddballs as soon as conceivably possible. I'm so excited to hear this.

Nick Wesell

Wizards is going to have a survey for the new ogl. Please let us know naddpods take on it so I can complete the survey in a way that supports naddpod.

Andrew Albaugh

This was awesome, but I also want to know what character Emily would have made!

Reece Kresge

If you guys do more of these I'd love to see you cover 13th Age. That's the system the group of friends I play with are considering switching over to and makes combat seem less sluggish

Dr. Bearkele

I suggest checking out DnD Shorts on YouTube for quick summaries of how to best fight this, but the main thing is to keep the discussion in the publuc and not in the surveys where WotC can make up whatever results they want.

Kaileigh Rose

Absolutely loved this! So interesting and cool! Would love a one shot or something!

Cats

Loovveeeee. Please play these! Especially with what Hasboro/WOTC is doing with D&D, this would be a great pivot!

Chris Edwards

A truly fantastic overview! I've only played a small amount of Pathfinder 1e (but have a pretty high level experience with other TTRPGs) but wanted to share a couple impressions. Hearing that it the intentionality of the system was being to not have to multiclass was a revelation. The little bit I've played seems to give the power gamer (not a pejorative) a ton of resources. Groups I've been in have really been satisfying for the more mathy gamers I know.

Chris Edwards

Sorry, forgot to mention. I would love if "We love to buff but we also love to blast" made it into the next merch bundle somehow.

saberbear

We gotta see these characters in action

Morgan

Absolutely need to see their wacky adventures

Jayce Lugo

This was fantastic, I really hope y’all play these characters soon! If this is going to be a new segment (and I definitely think it should be) I’d love to hear about Call of Cthulhu and Warhammer

Brian Tatosky

This was perfect timing as interest in Pathfinder is increasing for...you know reasons.... (Saying this as someone who knows nothing about Pathfinder and wanting to.)

Quietvanguard

legit might try out pathfinder with some friends! it sounds super cool

Keynon Kocinski

I think bringing a host GM that is familiar with the system could be a really fun way to explore this system on the show!

Mad Dungeon Mama

PLEASE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a mixed bag Pathfinder game!!!!!!!! I bet you!!!!

Milk Teeth

I am absolutely into this system, I desperately want to hear this adventure of wacky little guys

ToastyFuture

Love the thought of doing a mini-campaign or a one shot! There’s an ancestry of sentient artistic spiders called the Anadi that for some reason I feel give strong Axford vibes

An_Armed_Bear

I really like Jake's "Deranged Patrick Warburton" character voice.

Rue

We need a game of pathfinder with these characters

stayathomeslug

This was fantastic! Please announce when the mixed bag would be and I would gladly up my tier for that month! I've been wanting to switch to this and try out Starfinder 2e, so thank you!

ptak_sobie

Pathfinder sounds so sick, and hearing our hosts play Pathfinder would be so so sick

an_empty_box

Pathfinder 2e sounds sick, and it would be awesome to hear you guys give it a shot.

Eee.eeeeeeeeee

I would kill to see your next campaign played in this system

Maia Costea

This was so fun, I'm definitely stealing counter performance because it's SUCH a TRUE BARD move, so cool! Also context-based initiative as a concept blew my mind! Thanks for making this week's homework, Emily, you're so good at this, I love it! Oneshot would be so fun to hear!

miguel cantu

Love hearing Murph RP a goblin.

ananarama

So interested to hear this as a one shot!

The Lady Of Cram Over A Field Of Daniels

I would love to see these characters in a little journey. You did a great job at taking their concepts and making super unique and creative choices.

Clever Lettuce

Not Another TableTop Podcast? I'm here for it!

Kate N

This system sounds fun and these characters are SO unhinged, I absolutely want to hear them in a one shot (or more!)

Patrick C McAuliffe

Or just lean into that it is *NOT* another D&D podcast. I'm here for both

Clever Lettuce

Ha, my wife said the same thing to me!

Samantha Wald

truly so much fun to hear about other systems!! i hope we can hear more Behind The Screens in the future about other ttrpgs! and i would LOVE to hear a one shot using pathfinder 2e and these characters!! new systems can be intimidating but i found Emily's explanation and character creation demo engaging and insightful! it really got me curious and excited about learning more and trying out pathfinder!! thank you guys for such a fun overview!!

Keaghan Yaxley

Very keen to learn more about Pathfinder by listening to you guys play. Do it!

Cathy Lewandowski

Y'ALL. I love this. Please do at least a one shot with these absolutely unhinged maniacs!

Michael Glander

I know you've gotten a couple ideas for one shots lately but please i want a one shot of this including all your confusion figuring out the rules in game i think it would be hilarious

Magnoliidae

Would absolutely love to hear yall play these characters or even just roll up more characters in the system!! (I'd love to hear one that Emily makes for herself as well!)

BombasticBabyOtter

Is the audio sped up for the or anyone else? Having some issues following it lol

Jonathan Byrne

This was super fun, I'd love to see you all try the system as I've been playing it for the better part of a year now. Its very exciting to see more people trying out the system and if you try it out and don't enjoy it that's okay as well, still happy that you gave it your time. :)

Dominique Kupersmith

Would love to hear you guys play pathfinder! I am super intrigued by the system now.

Nesve Fowl

That was exactly what I was thinking!!

Nesve Fowl

I want a side campaign like trinyvale for this very badly!!

EggBilly

Sword gun is some Bloodborne vibes. Also, adding dexterity to a gun attack is more of a way to show your skill as a gunslinger ie shooting in the chest versus shooting in the leg.

Tim C

Would absolutely love to hear these characters and learn a little more about the system alongside y'all similar to how many of us did for D&D

Blythe

Amazing! Been listening for a little bit, but had to sign up to hear the Pathfinder builds, and as a pf2 player Emily absolutely nailed it! I will say the math is super tight in pf2e, so a bitter pill for me was the little +1 or +2s feeling a little deflating. But they make a lot more sense when you remember that it's also an increased chance to crit! Also it would be incredible to see Wilmer getting Dubious Knowledge for some monster facts.

munch lax

So im stoked for Emily to DM campaign 3.5

Maia Selkirk

I'm begging for the return of DMily to guide these delightfully off-putting little men along the path of adventure

Beau Tran

I'm so excited for somthing new!! Please make this a thing

Jareth

I've been catching up since July and I'm finally current with the podcast, this was a real treat to have as my first episode in real time

jbyrd

"Aannnnd" ☝️☝️

Faerunner

Loved this so much! I've been wanting to move away from D&D for a bit now cause of the OGL drama and have been considering Pathfinder as an option. This was such a great little demo/walkthrough! Thanks Emily! Would love to see some one shots or better yet a full campaign in PF2e!

Amelia

Yes please play these characters on a mixed bag!

James Burnett

I would upgrade immediately if this became a mixed bag campaign

Nathan Amundson

The characters are fantastic and I love how the PF2 system fleshes them out! Love to see more of this!

jbyrd

Jake sounds like the pillow guy.... But I like him

Persephonebloom97

This sounds like so much fun! I need this campaign 👏🏿

Frank

NAPFpod 2023

Alana Ochoa

i love it!!!!!! cant wait for u to go into more ttrpgs
