To answer the "how do you make banana bread dramatic" question; I have a recipe I use that includes candied ginger, and honestly I think that's the drama it needs.

Lol. I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed harder with a ruling by the court before. The DM in the case with the Reverse Gravity spell did nothing wrong because the player never pointed out that his interpretation of the spell was wrong. The player specifically says they didn’t point out the misruling and then never used the spell again, and then 2 years of playing later he expects the DM to remember a ruling he made that was never contested and never brought up again. In order to give the player what they wanted in these situations the DM would have to have had a perfect memory and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the 5e spell list. I demand a re-trial (please maybe thank you)!

In defense of the DM in the Salt DVD case... the plaintiff mentioned that it had been 2 years. It's pretty possible they just forgot about the ruling they made.

New DMs have issues like that first case because they don't realize that the key to keeping storytelling flexible is just lying. They don't know what you have planned, so you lie.

No one is going to see this, but I do want to say if you want a dramatic banana bread (also great for brownies). If you know how to make nut milks, make peanut milk, use it to make a baked good, assuming you like peanut butter like flavors, it makes an intense bread or brownie/cake thing.

seconding this - i was really disappointed to hear murph advocate for what is essentially disordered eating. calories are what our bodies need to live! and are not a good metric for whether something is healthy or not

Hi, submitter here! I did say I went back and forth with the DM about it, but trying to keep it concise I didn't mention that I first called out how I expected the spell to behave, then read the spell to the DM, then the DM read the spell for himself, and ultimately ruled the way he did.

I personally thought this was p clear. Plus even if you hadn’t the dm could have looked up the spell and checked the rules. I would never argue against an adamant player about the rules or a spell without verifying that I’m correct. I am entirely in your favor and tbh would’ve thrown hands when the Dm pulled out that same spell 2 yrs later

Truly one of the most egregious things I’ve heard here. I will acquiesce to my DM even if it doesn’t fully follow RAW cuz they’re the DM but then turning it around??? I would have lost it. And I’m the most chill at the table haha. Rule continuity man. If the rules don’t matter at all what’s the point. Just go write a story. (Just my opinion obvi but…gotta be consistent man.)

Exactly! Something that is like 5 calories isn't any more or less healthy than something that's 500. It's just a number, and unless you have a specific goal you're achieving, isn't something that you need to count vigorously.
