Stansky

So... Does the strike mean anything for Headgum?

Oliver Jasper

Listening right now while I'm doing some leather crafting!!!

Clever Innuendo

I'm not sure if releasing these at 1 in the morning is good or bad for my insomnia, but I'm here for it.

Sahara

The serpent's voice is basically just pendergreens saying omnom and I have never been more endeared

Trithos

I have to say, all of your stuff has been amazing, but I think C3 is the absolute peak of what you have done. After just listening to almost everything, C3 is an absolute banger. You are doing amazing work and thank you

Courtney F.

I'm just here for the rat crits and dip spit ✌️

Shane C

Should I change my name to Brad?

ACK

Welcome back Jake!

Jake de Medeiros

Can somebody explain Saul to me because I think I’ve gotten a bit lost on his character. What does it mean when they say his fists inflate? Is he spore based like moonshine was? I know he was made in a lab and didn’t actually grow up in the water park, but why does he care about moonstone again, has he ever gone there? Is Elder Frogson actually important or was he just a joke, I thought he was just a Sherlock Holmes joke but now he’s actually a major part of his character? I think saul is very funny I just don’t totally know what to visualize all the time.

Jack el destripador

I can’t believe Alexandrix didn’t stick. Wonderful episode as always gang!

Merlin Walraven

omg the way I happy flapped at the end there, what an incredible episode!!!

Proopypants

Every mome had me quietly clapping or grinning, and the final one, watery eyed. Goddam love this show.

Lemon Moon

More like NEWTonian liquid as I right?

Tracy Burns

What a way to end it Murph!

Ghostedflakes

Sol grew up in a waterpark supposedly because the Swag cloning was discontinued and the spare tadpoles were dumped so while he was made in a lab be didn't grow up there. Elder Frogson taught original Sol/Swag how to fight so while his name is a joke he is an important character to them. He has spores now because of the connection he had to Shroomrot when he died. He uses them more now as a nod to his subclass change into way of the long death, so mechanically he's not spore based it's more for flavor. As for the Moonstone connection, it probably has something to do with his yearning for a real home. His life in Ezry turned out to be a lie so learning that the original version of him had a real home with friends and family probably made him feel sentimental about the whole idea. Let me know if this helped!

Jake de Medeiros

Ohhh shit okay this makes sense now. I totally missed the spores to way of the long death and thought it was just in reference to moonshine, but the way you described it is MUCH better. Thanks

Fridge

Holy shit Murph incredible ep

Boomuppercut

Can I just say: Murph, your sound design and mixing on your episodes are out of this world. As a hard of hearing person, I have had to whole-ass cancel memberships to some podcasts because I absolutely could not understand what the players were saying. Your choice of music, and it's mix into the show never overpowers the players and only reinforces the drama that is occuring. Big ups to you, Murph. I know what audio design and editing is like (22 year video production veteran here) and you deserve so much accolade for it.

Rowan Sauer

No episode of any podcast has made me think more about my teeth. Thank you?

Nexacon

I’m going to have to agree. I’ve listen to a few podcasts and noticed that, right off the bat, the sound quality was impeccable even when Emily is in the back pouring tea. Speaking of Emily, she does such an amazing job with the scores for this podcast that make me envious of her skills weekly. You guys are incredible, keep up the good work!

Lord Dayman Duke of the Dungeon

I'm amazed you were able to get my name in there so fast. I just became a member yesterday. Jake really put some stank on my name too. Thanks!

Moatdog

Why would it? They’re not actors or writers in the hollywood scene.

Alan

The music and music cues in this ep were top tier 👌🏻

Stansky

Emily and Murph were actors on Adam Ruins Everything, and they had a show Hot Date on Netflix so I'm pretty sure they have SAG cards. I'm just curious about what the rules are for Headgum as a streaming distributor, and what the actual strike terms are. I'm sure it's not being struck, because Adam is one of the faces of the strike, and he would personally hunt Murph down with a crossbow for scabbing... Just curious about how everything works.

Moatdog

Ah i understand, if they were still working those shows I’d expect them to join cuz otherwise it would be shit. I’m not sure if headgum falls into it since i think they only do podcasts, but also these dnd episodes are pre recorded i think.

2026-09-05 07:00 I feel honored, cheesed, and chuffed by the representation this episode.

OMGimadragontrainer

Fists inflate: part of his old subclass I believe Spores: when shroomrot died he got a connection to the spore network and changed subclass The original sol(swag daniels) grew up in moonstone and became a monk there. Our sol cares about moonstone because of the shared meditation this episode. Elder frogson was a teacher for original sol. Taught him to become a monk

Christopher Lasasso

"Lost in thought, heavy with rocks" - a great gem from Jake that is so undeniably Hardwon ...

Sarah Catherine

the lights of gladeron song cue made me cry when hardwon was talking

SneakyTweaky

Frog lore is getting so good. Is this a character becoming a hive mind? So interesting.

Sorcha

I came here to say this, that song wrecks me on a good day and it was the perfect choice for this moment!

Gilbot 3000

The Hardwon Arch is what's gonna elevate this campaign from good, to great.

Ruthie Pinion

All Murph animal noises are incredible. Nomnomnom is new reer

Jan Endresen

The music in this episode was so beautiful. Well done you guys ❤️❤️❤️

Elizabeth Lees

From my understanding, unscripted shows do not apply, so things like reality shows, game shows, and improv won’t be affected by the strike.

Andre Szarmach

Bruhhhhh, that ending literally gave me goosebumps. Bravo

roomwithoutawindow

This episode was such a banger, excellent work to Murph and everyone else involved to bring it together. Great roleplaying

Zoe Raisbeck

the meditation memory sharing is absolutely giving off all the dark crystal gelfling vibes

Tim

Between Kenna and Swag, this was a great episode for NPCs

Maya Soh-Brown

i love how wonderfully verbose Hardwon is sometimes. “lecherous traitors the lot of you”

HolyFatFish

they said my name so many times

The Wizard Skoolie

I'm just saying if Sol and Swag don't do a Frog and Toad act, it'll be a missed opportunity

Amanda Weisbrod

WHAAAATTT!!! Omg I was NOT expecting that!! 😱

Katie P.

Emily's music was again so so good, the hummy bit during camp was great

Rachel Carollo

Jake really laying on the HURT this episode 😭😭😭

Abraham

In elementary school we learned abt non Newtonian liquids with ooblek, mix corn starch and water. It’s wild.

Gobstoppable Goose

That was so exciting! Thank you for another amazing episode.

Jenna H

It's literally impossible for a character to have a name closer to mine than Kenna and for that reason and for her endlessly helpful demeanor, I would die for her. She's perfect and I love her.

Emily Gorden

I can’t unhear the Ylfa influence on Kenna and honestly both of those very helpful and good characters own my heart

StarsPaw-Pawn

I would love to see a cup of frog dip spit

Faith Huisman

I so badly want to see Sol meet Swags family and just find the biological family he never knew he had. 🥹

Alyssa

I didn't expect to cry twice this episode

Kyrulius

No one commenting on the repeating segments

diintz

AAAAAHHHH I FORGOT JANA JOINS CALDER, THE WAY THE THEME COMES IN WHEN SHE APPROACHES IS SO FUCKING BADASS!!
