abt the 2d6 / 1d12 question, I just saw the other day a video that said that when rolling 2d6 you tend to roll more along the middle numbers, and when rolling 1d12 you're more likely in comparison to roll towards the higher and lower ends of the spectrum (of numbers. how does one speak in english again? anyway)

imagine a graph of your rolls on the d12 and a graph of your rolls on 2d6 – the former's columns (which represent results) would be higher on the edges, and the latter's columns would be higher on the center of the graph. i'm bad at this

2d6 follows a bell curve whereas the 1d12 has a flat 8.33% chance for each side. You have a higher chance of rolling high/low with 1d12. Great Weapon Fighting Style changes a lot of those stats in favor of 2d6 like Murph said.

The #SportOfTheNorth should be an adapted form of Sledge Hockey Races, where teams of 3 compete head to head. 1 player (P1) from each team is on a sledge pulled by a mount like a polar bear, winter wolf, seal, *cough* serpent *cough*, and must maneuver through an obstacle course while trying to keep possession of their puck. The 2nd player (P2) from each team is protecting a net at the end of the course and acts as the goalie trying to keep the opposing team’s P1 from scoring. The 3rd player (P3) from each team has two choices. They can either a) try to stop the opposing team’s P1 by trying to steal the puck in the obstacle course. Or b) protect their team’s P1 from getting their puck stolen from the opposing team’s P3. The race is best of 3 with a tie ending in a sudden death shootout. I could go into more detail but this post is long enough as is 😅 Ps. This would also open the world to introducing a new inclusive NPC with a physical disability

If you need to roll a 11 or 12 pick the d12 (you'll get either 1/12 of the time), if you just care about the average pick the 2 d6s (average of 7 vs 6.5)!

I am a converted 2D6 over a D12 and always picking up great weapons fighting, I used to love a battle axe but my current character uses a maul and being someone with shit rolls, two D6 is so much more fun, also it gets click clacking when you roll

As a person who lives in Las Vegas, I can assure you that you could easily be eating a hotdog at a craps table and be drunk enough (realistically or for pretend), to mix up your hands. I imagine they’d kick you off the table for it, but you wouldn’t get kicked out. Throwing a d12 (mustard covered or otherwise) will absolutely get you kicked out, and potentially banned from all the casinos under that umbrella company. Vegas takes their devotion to Dice Christ very seriously.

Hypothetical—you are required to take a combat or magic casting based feat (like no charisma cheat, I’m talking fey touched or tavern brawler etc) from 5e but have to use it at least 3x a week without being caught. You must do this for a year and if done successfully you receive 1 (dr evil voice) million dollars for every year you complete the task. If you get caught you become 10% less proficient in your best IRL stat (like charisma or con/endurance). You are allowed 3 close calls in a 12 month period.

Okay he's given his thoughts: D12 would be a no bet-- no money won off, the dealer would be like wtf and if you were like "it was a joke" you'd just get a well don't do that. If you tried to do smth covert you might get kicked. However, a hotdogs covered with mustard would be an instant throw out
