Bed of Roses (Patreon)

This is a concept I've had in mind for quite a while, and definitely not the only of its kind that I'm going to make. Originally I was going to use pink roses(like in the alternative version), but red roses fit Marie better so I made that the primary version. Still, I prefer the pink version because of the association with purity, even if Marie would prefer the red roses.

At first I was going to use a pillow, but I decided against it because I felt it was out of sync with the composition.

For the lighting I wanted to go for a very homogeneous setup. Usually that means the whole image loses its subject because everything is equally highlighted. One way to regain focus is to use a vignette, but as you can see, I used the roses instead.
