Slow and Steady [4K] (Patreon)

Hi all. Today I'm bringing you a 10-second clip. I'll also use this post as an update to talk about what happened last week.

Last week while rendering the new animation I noticed the smell of burnt plastic in the room. At first I thought it was my GPU, but that didn't make much sense to me. The temps were all good and there was no smoke or anything. I double-checked to see whether some wire was touching the backplate, tried again and noticed the same smell one more time. I replaced my PSU and all seems good now.

After putting the system back together Windows was so slow it was unusable, then it stopped booting altogether. I suspected the SSD was loose, disassembled and reassembled the system again, and sure enough everything seems back to normal.

Unfortunately all of this crap took days and interfered with the initial plan, but it is what it is. I'll resume everything now.

For today I made this animation. It's a looping section of the "A Helping Hand" animation. It also served to show the system is stable, as the issues seem to be gone now.
