*something nice in the comments for connor's sake*

pangolin = sandshrew 🥰 World's Pokemon would be kinda fun tbh there's some funny ones but some are really cool (imo) like poliwag/whirl is based on the glass frog (tadpole)

I am absolutely loving this podcast. There are not enough animal education podcasts that feel like your friends telling you about dope animals over coffee. Keep it up!

nerdieannie

centipedes are so scary looking imo

Brook Connelly

I would love to see a World's brightest (as in creatures that glow, not bright like smart THO THAT WOULD BE COOL TOO)

Darkrow

Connor looks great this ep. There something nice. :)

Awesome episode topic, that pelican spider looked real wicked! If I were to suggest an episode I would suggest world most alike/worlds doppelgangers, about convergent evolution and animals who evolved to look the same, have the same niche, and/or does look alike. Or something a bit bittersweet on the fastest adapting animals, on where you see species totally move from their niche or adapt to a new lifestyle due to climate changes and habitat losses

I would also really love a deep sea episode. I don't do it as often as I used to, but I love to watch all of the Nautilus and NOAA deep sea exploration live streams

Karla Hernandez

Thank you for the education I’m having a great time 😄

SnailAle

Most extreme temps!! Animals that live in volcanoes, deserts, underwater geysers/hydrothermal vents, etc

Tinola100

Custard looking good today

Benascor

I think World's Cutest would be fun!

Ana

Love the pod! World’s oldest might be a good follow up (most unchanged from prehistoric ancestors). Also would love to see some cool species of plants once in a while if they fit the categories :)

Jamie

love the banner with the mountains on the top of your patreon page!!

Love all the info, mainly on Pangolins, suuuper interesting. It would be cool if you guys would include CITES status as well, especially for animals like these endangered by trade. Little people know about it still unfortunately..

I don't think Maya needed to use air quotes while talking about the amphibious centipede. Amphibious, the word, and Amphibian, the classification, are only sort of related. Amphibian and Amphibious are related in the same way that scissors and schizophrenia are related. They share a Greek root word. Amphibious, as a term for living on land and in water, predates the classification of Amphibians. Most Amphibians are amphibious, but not all. A fully aquatic salamander would be a good example of an Amphibian, but not really amphibious. In short, calling it an amphibious centipede is correct because something being amphibious isn't directly connected to whether it is an Amphibian.

wow conner looks really good today :)
