My sister lives in St. Louis and they got the cicadas so bad. They just fly straight into you. You had to check your clothes and hair when you came it so you didn’t have one hanging out with you on the couch. The sidewalks were all absolutely covered in dead ones. It was terrible.

The sperm whale bit could have been an entire episode by itself. So damn cool

HEY MAYA AND CONNOR, I asked today on ItmeJP, but what are your thoughts on the commercial use of bugs as a source of proteins for humans, and which bugs if any, would be best / worst for this use?

Morgan Marlow

I was in virginia during the latest cicada event and it was miserable. It felt so bad just stomping on dead bugs whenever you had to walk outside... D:

I'm flabbergasted by the absurdity of our world

I’ve rewatched this episode dozens of times, but it just hit me how absurd and incomprehensible “10% of the Earth could hear Krakatoa” is. TEN PERCENT OF THE WHOLE PLANET?
