Some ideas: - Worlds Newest Biomes (most recently discovered or ones that may have formed after a cataclysmic event, like that area of Africa that's separating!) - Funniest Scientific Names - Wild Animals that have Urban Adaptations (IDK if you've done an episode on this or not)

Chaotic Pagan Tiger

I would like a video where you show us how to make a paper spear

Dohregard

Member's only streams on here/youtube so you can do stuff like Live animal quizzes or research streams?

In all honesty im just happy that you guys seems excited for the future, it feels like the pod has survived its childhood and are growing up. Love the "old format" of just straight up facts, i could listen to the two of you talk about what you had for breakfast though. much love <3

Brandon Yuen

I would love to see live brainstorming sessions for upcoming episodes where you guys live react and talk about our world wildest pitches from comments for Patreon content

John Bristow

I like your "traditional format". Prehistoric life could have many possibilities.

I love Crime pays but botany doesn’t! His videos are so cool! Also if it makes you feel better (maybe because I’m a bit older) I had no clue who you were as a streamer 😅 I found you out from your collab video with Georgie in the thumbnail! I didn’t know the streamer but I love frogs and had never seen one like him. The points you had made regarding science education, the demographics you were targeting, the age ranges left behind and your approach made sense. As I kept watching through the catalog I also saw how invested the team had been in animal welfare in such a multifaceted way including those working with the animals which I think people don’t really see. Especially having aunts and friends work around them it’s…hard to explain 😅. Having a friendly lion you can pet isnt normal or good. It’s not a good life for them. They may understand because they work in it but the public doesn’t. So the work and showing compassion and empathy to animals without personifying or assigning human traits to them is so awesome 🤩 thank you all for your works ❤️ and I hope your interactions nurture the future of conscientious folks!

I enjoy the “traditional format” videos a lot but I’ve also enjoyed the different mix ups like the debate and what if formats. I think Conner’s wheel video idea for the extra content could be fun to watch. Personally I loved the what if video and would like to see it more. If it didn’t do the best then maybe sprinkling it in here and there. A few ideas could be along the lines of: 1. What if animals could evolve human-level intelligence—how would ecosystems adapt? 2. What if octopuses lived as long as humans—how would their intelligence evolve/what would they be capable of? 3. What if humans had the strength-to-weight ratio of ants—how would that redefine sports or labor? 4. What if humans could hibernate like bears—would society adapt to seasonal sleep cycles? I am excited for the possibility of travel episodes and if they are able to happen then vlogs, pictures, just behind the sense could be fun for the Patreon when and where it would be possible.

Incase it's good for you guys to know how I consume the podcast, it's often on in the background while I do tasks or drive to work. Long form content works well for this. It allows the dynamic between the hosts to come through too. Maya's point about short form content is a valid one though. Everyone wants to consume and move on sadly.

krickettt

Honestly I'm just here for all of it and I've enjoyed everything so far! Maybe instead of movie nights, there could be movie reviews, kind of like book club. A podcast I really enjoy called Arthro-Pod did one on the movie Arachnophobia, and it was great!

Lana Donovan

I would love a Patreon episode deep diving a specific niche topic to do with one of the animals discussed on the main episode. I’m sure there are so many rabbit holes you fall down during research, it would be great to explore one of those. Or an animal which didn’t quite make it to main but was interesting. Love everything you’re doing though! Genuinely my fav podcast ever

Rasmus

It'd be cool to have a monthly or quarterly conservation news update, whether that's just updates on interesting conservation projects ("Here's how making New Zealand predator free is going"/"There's a new project to reintroduce animal X in place Y"), or if it's Patreon exclusive, even more political stuff you may be hesitant to post to a general audience ("Here's how the budget cuts to the National Park Service turned out a few months in"/"The Fish and Wildlife Service is removing protections against habitat destruction, here's what that means"). I don't really follow conservation news that closely outside of this patreon, and so far it's been more focused on general knowledge stuff than things that are going on right now, so that could be a useful educational thing, although it's probably a bit too crunchy to get good numbers.

Caddy

yoooooo i cant WAIT for the tooth & claw crossover!

Tom Carr

Forest Galante has a podcast called Wild Times, that'd be a super cool crossover!!!

Tom Carr

Also Lindsey Nikole is awesome, and she is on the education board at Colossal Biosciences, so having her on to discuss the dire wolves or Colossal's vision in general would be really cool!

Katariina

Hyped for the Tooth & Claw crossover!! I much prefer of long-form content as I usually watch while getting work done. As someone suggested earlier, Patreon eps being deepdives could be fun. For example maybe one of you could every week provide a deepdive on an animal from the main ep or another animal that didnt quite make the list

Devin

I like the “yapping” ideas you mentioned - the debates and hypotheticals. I am less interested in short-form content but I’m also almost 31 so I might not be your target audience. #old! I love listening to the full episodes while I’m cooking or driving and then watching the patreon bonus eps throughout the week as a “little treat” after work. The quizzes and trivia are so fun. I also love getting to know you both as people — so stuff like fun clips, updates from behind the scenes, etc. would be cool (that’s why I love your Q&A — hearing about your personal experiences is so interesting).

Devin

Only A/V feedback I have is regarding Quiz Time — you need a jingle or some other noise to get it started! Often I’m thrown off when I hear Maya shout it, then there’s usually some dead space before we hear the question. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the Producer. I think a little more “production” in this moment would add some fun to the episodes. Just my two cents!

timbertowns

Maybe like worlds oldest sports involving birds and or other animals?, (i love that maya has done falconry so id love to hear alot on that :D)

V_icariously

Because Maya has not seen a vast quantity of films, perhaps we could do a MOVIE CLUB like the book club but instead we all set a goal to watch 1 classic film / animation and then we get together at some interval to talk about it, or similar films, or what we loved about it, and then vote on what movie to watch next?

Simon

Can't wait for what's next!

jbubble

Maybe some like signed pictures of animals/polaroids/merch giveaways? And for the Q&A's, maybe choosing one question to go into a deep dive/full podcast on, or more long form/scripted educational videos!

huniebeeXD

If humans had wings what would they look like? Would they be like birds or insects or bats? How many sets? Where on the body would they be? Length, how big? Could be fun to look into!

Lars

I'd love an interaction with Jane Goodall <3

mermaid

Longer-form please! Podcasting is primarily about storytelling and research, so I’d love to see some deeper dives mixed in with the snappier list-style existing format. I am SO excited for Tooth & Claw and NPAD crossovers! I was listening to those before you guys so I’m def your demographic. Looking forward to the cave visit too! ‘School trip’ style vids with you two being our tour guides would be so fun to watch. Sorry for the exclamation marks, I’m excited lol

mermaid

Bonus content: you guys reacting to nature-related tik toks and videos. Cross-overs: Plant/animal/fungi medical & scientific innovations? (This Podcast Will Kill You, In Defence of Plants - I’m sure I’m forgetting some great ones in that vein). Are there any on biomimicry? General ideas: - Animals in mythology/cultural beliefs - Animals and plants in art - Halloween ep: animal ghosts! (and why are they always cats?)

ninpoonam

some idea for youtube or patreon: -bonus episodes with one extra animal each on that weeks topic, quizes are cool but, I would like it if space had a mic (its hard to hear him), weekly/monthly animal news updates? whats going on in the world on animal research, (whats cool, whats something we should worry about, whats interesting, etc.) -bonus content/extra, I miss the bookmark making behind the scenes videos, or even a short video of maya drawing the bookmarks, more merch!, react to funny animal videos on youtube or tiktok, react to weekly Alveus clips, random vlogs -Other ideas: I would love out door podcast episodes too (film on a hike/ on top of a mountain, in a national park, in a cave like you mentioned), guest episodes with alveus staff teaching maya/connor more about their favourite species (i would love to about sharks and vultures), etc. -also i think long-form content is better in this case since its a podcast, we're hear for longer deeper conversations :) i love the yapping episodes!

allocat5867

I definitely recommend Snake Discovery the YouTube people for a collab with Alveus/Worlds Wildest

Omg this would have been interesting but I don’t think they’d agree 😅
