This is a comic that will almost certainly never be posted publicly, so enjoy getting an exclusive look here! The reason is I honestly think shortening the text on cards is a good thing these days, so it's a little disingenuous of me to make a comic implying there's an underhanded reason when it happens. Plus, I feel like I should be judicious in how many "complainy" comics I make so that it doesn't feel like Cardboard Crack is always complaining. All that said, it was fun to represent Hasbro as the Monopoly guy, so I might try that again some time in the future.

My biggest concern about shortening words is that they'll use that as an excuse to put more words on cards, and at some point, we'll end up with a set wordier than Strixhaven.

came here to comment the same. shortening the wording is a workaround to hide how very much rules and text they put on the cards. and helps little, because the main issue is understanding all those rules and keeping track of them, not reading 2-3 more words.

love the monopoly guy - you should definitely use him when there is something to seriously complain about hasbro :-)

Make a comic where a new player takes "when this card enters" way too literally, and someone has to explain it means "enter the battlefield".
