Oasis Sketches (Patreon)

For my most recent comic, the gag was mostly visual. So I had to do a few sketches to plan exactly how I wanted to present the four panels. You can see in the first panel I considered including cactuses (or I guess cacti) before removing them to make the scene more desolate. I also experimented with different positions for the character in the first two panels because I don't usually draw my characters crawling through the desert! For the final panel I tried a few different options for the Tarkir oasis. I've included an additional sketch of the version that was most close to what ended up in the comic.
