I still remember the days when Turbo Stasis was a competitive deck in Type II (now known as Standard). It's a testament to what a good game Magic is that we continued playing even though the decks were so miserable.

I sure have spent years playing chalice/trinisphere decks in legacy. First monowhite stax with Moat, and then (and most of my legacy careeer) MUD. There is fun to be had here, and I'm having enough for both of us XD

Though my hell would be everyone playing generic rhystic study, cyclonic rift, craterhoof decks in commander.

The deck I used in my first GP was turbo fog.

You monster! I remember one of my favorite Standard (probably Type II at the time) decks was a green/white deck full of Gerrard's Wisdom, a bunch of different wraths, and Gaia's Blessing so I wouldn't run out of cards.

That sure is why I prefer to host games at home with friends rather than go out to the shop and play XD.
