If you could return to any plane in an upcoming Magic set, which would you choose? Ulgrotha?

I would love an allied 3 colour set that actually drafts like an allied 3 colour set. Cappenna doesn't count :( So yes, please go back to Alara. My understanding is that it wasn't that Lorwyn undersold because it wasn't a good set, but just because money was tight for a lot of people at that time. Though I did know people who felt mortally offended at the introduction of this new planeswalker card type and wish it hadn't been introduced XD

To return to a plane we needed to spend a lot of time there to build up the nostalgia for it. I don't think any UB will do it. It's just not a thing.

I would like to go back to Ikoria, I know mechanics maybe aren't the best yet I totally loved them, I imagined mutating cute creature resulted in something from a nightmare or something weirdly interesting (like Elementals from Lorwyn) :D

Ha, that would be an interesting plane to revisit. It definitely had its problems between mutate and companion!

Good point! 2007/2008 was not a great time financially for a lot of people. Also, I get what you're saying about actually drafting like a 3 color set. Too often these sets either have had terrible mana or it feels like you should draft 4 or 5 color. It might be a tough needle to thread.

Streets of New Cappenna, as it turned out, was a 2-colour draft format, not 3 :(
