Wow, so many cards previewed today. I'll be interested in seeing how extensively they drill down in the Marvel Universe. My guess is that X-men will be saved for a future set, but we'll see. With the reveal of Squirrel Girl today, I could resist the chance to draw my favorite Eldrazi. The craziest part is that she trades one-for-one with the Thanos that was revealed today. Squirrels are powerful!

I really have no interest in this set, but I adore the callback in this comic :)

This callback comic makes it *almost* worth it that we are returning to the plane of New York just by itself.

🤢🤮

Though that would give us block constructed again, and that format was sweet. Though see my reaction above for my thoughts of New York block getting the only block constructed treatment in 5-6 years.

"Welcome to our latest fantasy plane. The exciting and adventure-filled world of New York City! Experience wonders beyond your wildest dreams, deliver pizza on a scooter, or buy a hot dog from a local hot dog vendor and feed it to the pigeons. There are so many wonderful, magical adventures to be found in New York, you can even live the dream of having your landlady tell you that Rent is Due!!!"

I know that superheroes are often born and protecting america and Earth, but this is a fantasy game, and there are plenty of comic book stories set in places that aren't Earth. Can't we instead take the same IP's, but tell one of those fantastical offworld stories instead?
