After almost 1800 comics, I kinda can't believe I haven't drawn this comic before. Hopefully I'm not forgetting that I already did!

This week and next week I might be a little slow with updates because I have some travel for work. This also brings up the age old question. I have no expectation to play any Magic on this trip--should I still bring some decks just in case? What if I happen to run into someone who plays? It would be pretty embarrassing if I was deckless!

Here's one inspired by tonight's comic: Sergeant yells, "Grenade! Hit the deck!" Soldier throws himself on top of his Magic deck.

Just imagine a friend building an entire deck in your yard without you noticing it. Pun aside, I think I'd be grateful!

I don't believe you've done it before, but I also can't believe it took you this long.

When I was young, I took some decks on a tramp into the bush for exactly this reason. My parents thought I was nuts, and it still blows their mind to this day that I found someone at one of the huts who played.

Modern statistics say that 1 in every 83 people currently play Magic: The Gathering, this includes 3rd world countries, so if you are travelling somewhere in a 1st world country I'd say that puts the odds of finding someone pretty high.
