If you remember a month or so back, I posted I was working on a "best of" book. This would bring together something like 250 of my most popular comics into one collection. After a lot of debating back and forth, I've decided to delay this project for the time being. It's just too crazy right now, with the pandemic, people out of work, and the US election tomorrow. I feel guilty asking people to support a project like this with so much other more important stuff going on. It would be better to wait until next fall, when hopefully things are more back to normal, and everyone is just less stressed.

Since this is the case, I still would like to get a new book out before the holiday season this year (which would be book 8). I have the last year or so of comics before I took a break last time, whci have still never been available in a book. So each night, I've been working on reformatting the comics, and arranging them in a book, which looks like this:

There's still a few big decisions I need to make on this. First, should I just include every comic that hasn't been in a book, or be more selective? A lot of these old comics make jokes about things like Aetherworks Marvel, Ahmonkhet, etc. Would it better to just omit these comics that feel a little dated and replace them with more "ever green" comics? I'm not sure yet.

Second, I still need to decide the title. If you've seen my other books, they have a certain pattern to the titles. This will also dictate the artwork I make for the cover, which I still need to complete. Let me know if you have any suggestions! I need to make a decision soon though, so I have time to submit my book to the printer, get proofs, and them fixed and okayed before the end of November. I got some work to do!

I have decided who I'm dedicating this book to: my dog Charlie, since he wasn't around for the previous books!

Volume 7: "Nothing gets between me and my Cardboard Crack" published November 29, 2016 covers BFZ - SOI. https://cardboard-crack.com/page/43   Since then we've had EMN, KLD, AER, AKH, HOU, XLN, RIX, September 27, 2017 hiatus, SOM, GRN, RNA, WAR, ELD, THB, IKO, ZNR, M19, M20, M21, GS1, SS1, SS2, SS3, MM3, IMA, A25, UMA, 2XM, BBD, C17, C18, C19, C20, August 17, 2020 restart/renaissance... that's a LOT of material. I'm personally still going to chuckle at gags about Lantern Control, Frontier format, the pronunciation of Aether Revolt, and Dinosaurs Vs. Pirates. My Volume 8 title/cover suggestion: "Quarantine me with my Cardboard Crack" with the cover artwork depicting our 2 heroes playing Magic in an underground bunker while the Zombie Apocalypse takes place above.

I like the idea of quarantine for the cover image... also since this was the year of your return and you have many comics not necessarily tied to specific sets and more to the state of the game, I would stick with that theme.
