If you've been following Cardboard Crack since the beginning, you might have already seen these. But if you've started reading more recently, I thought this would be fun to share. A while back I bought a bunch of foil cards with the artwork removed so I could draw my own custom cards.

The first was a parody of Jace, the Mind Sculptor. At the time, this was the best planeswalker in Magic, but of course it has now been eclipsed by Oko.

Next was a parody of the outcry when Wizards revamped slivers in Magic 2014. We had been waiting for years for this popular creature type to return, and Wizards responded by bringing them back with revamped, generic predator-looking creature designs and reworked rules text that confusingly worked differently than traditional slivers. It'll be interesting to see if slivers come back in Time Spiral Remastered, and if they do, what the cards will look like.

Both of these cards were sold on eBay. At the time, I thought I would make a bunch more of these, but it ended up being too time intensive to make them. I'd rather spend my time drawing more comics!

My son, who was only 5 at the time, thought these cards were so cool, that he wanted to draw his own. This is what he came up with:

If you can't read it, it's a 8/8/ flying dragon for 2BB. Pretty strong at the time, but these days WotC would at least let you draw a card when it entered the battlefield. I still have this card. Hopefully he'll get famous some day so I can sell it for a bunch of money!
