Hope you're having a good time getting your weekend started. I've spent most of my Friday night formatting images to put together the 9th Cardboard Crack collection (am I a wild and  crazy guy or what?). As I've mentioned before, this mainly involves resizing images with Photoshop and then putting them into a book format with a program called InDesign:

I'm currently up to 99 pages formatted, with the goal of making a 142 page book. One thing I haven't decided yet is the title of the book. For previous books, I've used titles such as "Nothing gets between me and my Cardboard Crack," "I'm always thinking about Cardboard Crack," and "Cardboard Crack until the day I die." But I don't just pick these titles at random. I try to tie them to a comic from the collection, which I then use on the title page. So far, I've been having trouble thinking of a similar title. Would you like to help me? If so, send me a message and I'll send you a link to the rough draft of this book. You can then read through the comics and give me some suggestions about which comics would be best suited for the next book title. I hope you choose to take a look. In fact, for my last book title "Quarantine me with my Cardboard Crack" this was taken directly from a suggestion by long time Patreon backer William Toenjes!

Anyway, that's where the book stands now. Hope you have a good weekend!

3 pitches for you for the Volume 9 cover: "I can't stop drawing Cardboard Crack." Cover is spoof of Norman Rockwell "Triple Self-Portrait" (1960) — A giant tablet propped up on the easel, painting signed "Magic Addict" in lower right corner, Garruk's helm rests atop artist's easel, Storm Crow decorative framed mirror, can of an energy drink, waste basket overflowing with booster wrappers, stacks of Magic cards… https://www.nrm.org/MT/text/TripleSelf.html "Friday Night's Alright (for Cardboard Crack)" Cover depicts a happy family of four engaged in a Commander game at the kitchen table, one of the kids is clearly winning, a sleeping dog curled up on the floor. (feels too soon to show FNM at LGS) -or- "Any Night's Alright (for Cardboard Crack)" Cover shows a solitary smiling player at a desk with real cards and a webcam SpellTable set-up, surrounded by boxes of cards and a cat batting at dice or knocking over a pile of cards. (apologies to Elton John & Bernie Taupin)
