Raise your hand if when you started playing you would play one-third lands and then stack your deck, alternating between 2 spells then 1 land, before shuffling.

It's called mana weaving, and I've done it plenty of times before shuffling.

I like ribbon shuffle but yeah after every game it's a good idea to blend your mana and other cards to reduce mana screw. Pokemon has far more draw power so you don't need to do that with energies, surprisingly.
