Anyone here attend the Magic 30 event in Las Vegas this weekend? How was it?

I was there with my 8 year old. We had a great time on Friday and Saturday (had to leave early Sunday morning). It was definitely a different experience than an original GP, but I basically stopped playing main events more than 5 years ago anyways, so I was glad to see it.

I did was OK. A lot of people not much place to play. The vendors and artists crowded. I meet the folk from command zone that was nice.

Not a perfect event, but not as bad as Twitter would have you believe. Agree not enough space to play on Friday, but they tried to open space for most of the weekend. Terrible communication tho on those fixes.

Yep, that is precisely what it felt like. To me, that's a good thing, but there are definitely people who just want their massive events back. Personally, I'll take more of this style where everyone can choose the stuff they like to do.

I'm more of a Timmy than a spike, i thought the events were over priced and the judges were short staffed so they ran slowly. Not having on demand side events except for draft was disappointing and they needed a bigger space. I don't want to be all negative as i did have a good time playing magic and seeing friends- i just wish it was cheaper.
