Do you have any favorite formats that WotC doesn't support? Old school? I guess Oathbreaker doesn't count anymore...

Artist constructed. You can only use cards illustrated by one artist. Basic lands included.

There isn't one as it's always changing. I think Kev Walker is still the most prolific magic artist. Honestly not many people are into it as it's a very restrictive request. It's legacy legal cards, with following legacy banned and restricted at the moment. It's not really branched out into the main stream yet. You also run into things like good cards that just don't combo. It's more of a synergy format. Also the more basics and colors the artist has done, the better. For example r.k. post is stuck in RB which can work with some of his stuff like Avatar of Woe, but you can't use Morphling as you don't have access to blue. Heather Hudson (my fave artist) has done Mountains but only has a few red cards. Most of her stuff is in green and the only green sources of mana are Weatherseed Totem and Tranquil Thicket so really hard to play into. I looked into John Avon, you know choice B if Rob Alexander is not available, and Avon has the opposite problem, too many lands and not enough spells. I had the idea of Artist Teams to brew some creativity and also open up some color options to decks, but it's just really hard to sell people on Art over Card Function. I ended up just putting my start to artist decks into a cube so it's now artist tribal as it were. That's my super neesh format.

I'm noticing a trend that some of the newer Magic artists love nostalgia formats like OS and Premodern. That's so awesome. As someone who plays those nostalgia formats, but also still loves to collect new cards and get them signed, I'm happy to see it. :)

I'm coming up with my own format where you play with your entire library in your hand. No need for expensive tutors or draw spells.

If one artist is too restrictive, try two?

And then there is Dandan...

That was my thinking. Like a artist team up kinda thing.
