The other day my son and I grabbed a few packs of Dominaria Remastered and played some pack wars. Afterwards, my son noted that the games were so much more fun and relaxing compared to recent drafts he had done. I asked him why. He said, I finally didn't feel like I was reading cards the whole time!

It's indeed something I notice as well. I'd prefer less text... cards are so stuffed with abilities sometimes. On the one hand it adds to the game, on the other hand I think it was essential for the game to have rather simple individual cards combine to complex board states and combos and timing.

Yeah, too much to remember. Counterspell was justified.

If there's one thing that Yu-Gi-Oh should pick up from Magic, it's counterspell.
