These Lord of the Rings previews have been fun to watch. They've been really creative with the color choices. For example, I didn't expect Gandalf the Grey to be a Izzet creature, but in retrospect it makes sense.

It's also been weird seeing the story from all three books crammed into one set. It makes me wonder if it would have been better if there were three smaller sets focused on each of the books.

How have you enjoyed the Lord of the Rings previews?

I'm honestly glad Deserted Temple got a reprint as well as some legendary tribal reprints. I do feel like I may want to invest in MTG Proxies of the LOTR cards. The franchise is cool, but the UB still isn't my thing. I will say another 4 color legend is cool. I wonder if the other 4 color pairs will get cards.

Some of the cards have been really good in terms of flavor, while others, not so much.

I agree. As cool as some of the cards are, I still have an aversion to UB and will avoid adding any of these cards to my Commander decks or cube.
