Hopefully it doesn't feel like I'm beating a dead horse, but here's a rewrite of my previous comic. I felt like the earlier version didn't capture the human element which makes this whole situation so vile. There was too much focus on all the other directions Magic has been going that I disagree with. So I'm happier with this one, and will probably share it more widely as well. Which do you prefer?

Wow...hard... "Like" them both, I think it was good to address the frustrations of the MtG community in the first version, but this one with the focus on the employees is spot on as well...

Prefer the first version. Also in the second panel, I'll argue that WotC is just as mismanaged as the rest of Hasbro (the first version describes how).

Both are true, #2 is funnier. When you have the opportunity to punch up or punch down, always take the shot at "The Man" over those still reeling from shifty corporate decisions...

You should release this one first, then the first one.

I'll definitely keep one for just my Patreon supporters.

I think this version implies that Cocks values the work of his employees and recognizes it as an effort of someone else. I also think he would simply lack the empathy and self-reflexion to do so. The first one focuses on the complaints you have (which I share, but that's not the point), not the complaints I think most of the staff of WotC have. Maybe a mix would be right: Take the speech from this one's first row as a comment by the WotC staff, as a positive self-reflexion, then take the last row from the previous strip? Maybe add a pair of sunglasses and a suitcase with a "$10M" or so to Mr. Cocks in the last frame, it would compliment his douchebaggery and greed. Happy Holidays

This is a great suggestion, thanks! I didn't expect this comic to become such a collaborative process. I'll post the final version (incorporating your suggestions) publicly tonight.

Saw it on twitter! Glad you liked it, happy holidays and keep up the great work!
