It was awesome to experience TAEYEON completely outside of her normal element. She did an amazing job, and bonus points for getting Valen to tear up—it's definitely the first time it has happened on the channel!

She understands english well but i think she doesn't speak it. She picked up english pronunciation through Tiffany (Aka. her best friend) which she is American. That may be why TY has good pronunciation.

Definitely recommend you guys to watch all of her begin again perfomances. Some of her english covers from the show (could be region-blocked so feel free to use VPN) - Slow Motion - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8f5dg4bZzU - Bad Guy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2GoZHnMoDQ - Like I’m Gonna Lose You (duet) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MD_ZXy736UU - All Of Me (duet) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cwUcJ-WN38 - Say Something (duet) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZJY8NNKGxA If possible, try to watch the whole show. It's actually not a "tour", but more like a busking. They simply go around and find suitable places to perform. Taeyeon is the main one, but there are other great artists going with her. All the subbed episodes are from Taeyeon's team. The others are from other artists. https://kshow123.tv/show/begin-again-3/

If is Taeyeon's first OST, released on January 28, 2008 for the drama Hong Gil-dong. Taeyeon began to gain popularity through her various television soundtrack releases, recording "If" for the KBS2 drama Hong Gil Dong (2008) and "Can You Hear Me" for MBC's drama Beethoven Virus (2008) "If" was later deemed more popular than its respective drama and "Can You Hear Me" won a Popularity Award at the 2008 Golden Disk Awards. Both tracks remain among Taeyeon's most well-known hits

Begin again is a show were they get several korean artists, make them into a temporary band, and take them to different countries to showcase their talent basically. It is a very refreshing concept, every season is great, and it was actually my first introduction to Taeyeon, since i loved the show. She fits the concept so much, and if you’re ever interested in checking more of Begin Again out, Kim Feel and Suhyun were, in my opinion, some of the best additions. Oh, and they also do performances in Korea.

Why actually Taeyeon should speak english? Just learn korean. You'll understand the culture much better that way. 😉

She speaks basic English but she understands everything tho. Like you mentioned she’s just shy.
