Seungri once actually said in an interview that BIGBANG has so many sad songs because all of G-Dragon's relationships ended in failure

Chris

Love it. Pls do the Japan Tour X concert. By far i feel that's the best Concert they ever had. Thank u for your reactions.

Chris

Monster was a song created for the fans who turned their backs away from them during their controversies...

Seungri loves to exaggerate and embellish things. Besides, it was just a joke meant for entertainment on a variety show, so just take it with a grain of salt.

Hey Valen and Theo, just wanted to share some real context behind this STILL ALIVE concert, because if you just think of these songs as typical love songs or a "playboy" vibe, you're totally missing out on why this era is so legendary! Back in 2012, BIGBANG wasn't just taking a break. They were actually facing a massive crisis that almost ended their careers. Before this comeback, the members got caught up in some really severe controversies. The media and the public basically turned against them, and they were facing huge backlash and pressure. So, the album ALIVE and this concert weren't about playing around at all—it was literally a fight for survival. The whole concert is basically a story of breaking down and rebuilding. They open with the track ALIVE, which is basically them saying, "Hey, we're still here." When they perform Monster, the lyrics "I'm not a monster" are a direct, painful response to all the hate and prejudice thrown at them. And then they just pour all that frustration into the explosive energy of Fantastic Baby, proving they still had the power to rule the stage. You can actually see this exact storyline in the Fantastic Baby MV, where they are shown fighting against the masked oppressors representing the public prejudice and media hostility. And get this: despite all that dark stuff happening behind the scenes, the album was a massive, record-breaking hit! It actually made history as the first-ever Korean-language album to enter the US Billboard 200 chart. It topped the charts in Korea, and all three title tracks charted on the Billboard World Song Sales chart. They didn't just survive; they completely conquered the music scene all over again. On top of that, the ALIVE GALAXY TOUR was the first-ever world tour by a K-pop boy group. It visited 24 cities across 12 countries in Asia, North America, and South America, drawing a total of 800,000 attendees. Basically, this album and concert are way more than just a massive comeback; they are a raw, unfiltered documentary of breaking down and rebuilding from the ashes. Hope this helps you appreciate the deep survival theme behind the music, and not just the crazy stage energy!

I'm saying this as a longtime TOP fan, to be honest you can tell that his dancing lacks a lot of details compared to the other members LOL but it doesn't really bother me because I'm here for the good singing/rap and performance so it's a trade-off I'm willing to accept. And yeah GD is really struggling a lot with his vocals these days from all the smoking. I do think he's been trying to experiment and see how much he can do with his current voice in some of the songs in the Ubermensch album, so he'll probably (hopefully?) find a way to perform older songs with his current style by the time the new tour comes around. And on the topic of relationships, Taeyang mentioned before (on Radio Star) that GD is good at flirting but gives bad relationship advices. TOP also said that none of them had normal relationships (I'd like to believe that at least Taeyang is the exception since he is happily married lol) 🤣 Thank you for the reaction as always, looking forward to watching the rest of the concert with you two!
