Maybe because I'm used to FPS versus TPS, first person cameras in racing always felt better to me. I feel like I can react better to the road than I can in third person. I think there might just be that disconnect of like 0.25s when I need to react to a turn or something.

I've got the exact same behaviour patterns about games Jerry. I regularly beat a boss one time in a roguelike, then immediately quit forever. Same with any survival-crafting game. I have to be very careful about where I set my goals, because if they feel too final I'm done completely.
