Black fox kitsune - Garrett (Patreon)

My latest modern monster setting is the Rose Cottage B&B. I will be using it in a story soon I hope - after this craziness is over in a few days’ time and I’ve recovered!!

Anyway, back to Rose Cottage B&B. It’s run by Garrett, a black fox kitsune. He is bi, and was married to a dragon shifter. Garrett continued to run the B&B after Reo died, and something of Reo’s healing spirit remains in the place, because people who are hurting or in need of healing, or need a safe place to stay are often drawn to it. Not everyone who stays there needs the special magic found there, but there is a sense of calm and gentle kindness to the place, Garrett, and to its garden. Small fairies live in the garden, and tend the herb and vegetable beds, and who annoy the local birds a bit... He also has a cat called Sappho, who is probably a bit more sentient than even the smartest of domestic felines...

Garrett is quiet and sweet, quietly spoken, with a soft stutter that sometimes surfaces when he’s tired, long-sighted, and his black hair is peppered with a steely grey.

Reo has been gone for five years, and he’s never looked for love, but perhaps his own second chance is just around the corner...?
