Náin (or Nathan) Cadash - dwarven Inquisitor (Patreon)

Decided to fire up Dragon Age: Inquisition again tonight, and I played as a dwarf for the first time. I adore him and can’t believe I never played as a dwarf before!!

Relatively limited backstory as of the moment for him, but he’s called Náin, which is sometimes changed to ‘Nathan’ around humans. He’s an absolute unit of a dwarf, takes zero bullshit from anyone and has a huge thing for Cassandra already!!

He’ll tackle literally anything in a fight, no matter how big. He’s good with hand to hand and unarmed combat, near silent when he wants to be (must be all the lyrium smuggling), but he favours huge two-handers and battle axes that are so heavy that Cole can’t even pick them up... He has no self preservation instincts at all, and has a foul mouth in battle, but otherwise is pretty soft spoken. He sometimes stutters if he’s really tired.

He’s not good with emotions - doesn’t know how to process them or deal with them, or deal with someone else who’s upset or struggling, so he can come across as a bit of a dick at times. He does actually deeply care, he’s just... inarticulate, something that Cole sees straight away.

He’s also incredibly dyslexic, to the point that he can barely read at all, but he’s very good at crafting and creating things (and fighting). He and Blackwall will spend a lot of time carving gryphons and lions and other toys for the Skyhold children. He and Varric have an ongoing friendly rivalry thing but he’d protect Varric in a heartbeat if he needed to. Same for Cole. He adores the kid. Doesn’t get on with Vivienne at all, is mildly intimidated by Leliana, thinks Dorian is a massive peacock (until the mage opens up a bit to him), and quite likes Bull.
