I hope you liked my little surprise from earlier! Here's Part Two for you. It's nsfw, about 2.5k words long, and features a little bit of drama, and a lot of tooth-rotting fluff...

This won't be going up on Tumblr, I don't think, so it's just for you lovely patrons, regardless of tier.  Happy April 1st :).

Locke  stepped into your house and their eyes darted around, taking in the  sparse furnishings and the clutter in the corners without so much as a  hint of judgement in their gaze.

“You… Uh… You want a drink?”

To your surprise, they shook their head. “I don’t drink,” they smiled.

“I have non-alcoholic options too,” you said.

“Alright then,” they said, clearly wanting to set you at ease.

You  spent that evening curled up on the sofa together, and Locke admitted  it had been a very long time since they had done anything like this.

“You don’t take much time for yourself then?” you asked.

The  two of you were seated at either end of the sofa, leaning on the sides  rather than the back, facing inwards, your feet almost touching. Locke  shuffled every now and again, and you got the impression that they  weren’t used to sitting still.

They chuckled and shook their head, the loose sections of dark hair falling forwards into their face. “No.”

“So where do you go when you’re not teaching nasty people lessons?”

“Between Here and There,” they said evasively.

“What does that even mean?” you asked.

With a snort, they shuffled again and shrugged.

“Are you alright?”

“You see much for a human,” they commented, expression cracking a bit.

“What’s wrong?”

“Someone is invoking one of my names.”

You tilted your head. “What?”

“I’m being summoned, though somewhat inexpertly, it has to be said. I’m trying to ignore it.”

You blinked. “You can be summoned?”

“Don’t  get any ideas now,” they grinned, pointing an elegant finger at you. “I  trusted you with my true name. I’m not at your beck and call to come  and put a thumbtack on the chair of every person who slights you, you  know?”

“That  wasn’t at all what I was thinking,” you said, somewhat defensively. “I  mean, it did cross my mind that it’d be nice to know how to reach you  again if I did need you, or if I just felt like chatting again - but I’m  assuming spirits don’t have mobile phones, though I could be wrong of  course…”

Locke’s  bright laugh lit up your whole apartment. They threw their head back  and laughed, throat bobbing, until they straightened and you saw tears  of joy in their sparkling yellow eyes.

“Ok, I didn’t think you’d find it that funny…”

“Forgive  me,” they said, still chuckling. “I have honestly never met anyone like  you. Do you even know the extent of the power you hold over me now?”

“I guess not,” you admitted.

“Probably  for the - ah!” they broke off, wincing and screwing their eyes shut.  “Rude,” they hissed. “Alright, look, I’m sorry. I do have to go. They’ve  stepped it up. But I’ll come and visit you again soon, alright?”

“Sure,” you said. “And thank you. I think this was the best April Fool’s ever, all things considered.”

With one final, slightly lopsided grin, Locke simply vanished in the blink of an eye.

You  looked out for them everywhere you went, but you didn’t see any hint of  them for a good couple of weeks. You’d begun to assume they’d forgotten  all about you when, one evening after a long day at work, your doorbell  rang, and you shuffled over in your pyjamas to answer it. As you  squinted through the peep hole in the door, you were greeted to the  sight of a familiar, tiefling-esque figure, holding a tub of something in their hands.

Opening  the door, you cocked your head quizzically, but before you could say  their name, they held up a finger to their lips. “May I come in?” they  whispered.

“Sure… What’s with the secrecy?”

“I  didn’t want you to blab my name out,” they said, stepping inside.  “There’s a nasty little piece of work incubus prowling around down the  corridor and I know they’re listening. May I ward your apartment against  eavesdroppers?”

“Uh… wait, what?”

“I can’t do it without your permission…” they said.

“Sure…”

“Here, take this. You might want to put it in the freezer though.”

You  looked down at the tub they’d thrust into your hands, and saw that it  bore the logo of the ice cream parlour from your first ‘date’. You left  them standing in the hallway, arms hanging by their sides with their  hands turned palm-up, and when you returned, you saw their long,  blue-black hair was floating behind them in a long ribbon as though  their ponytail were caught in an underwater current, and a white light  shone in their large eyes. They exhaled and their eyes returned to the  yellow that you recalled from before, and they shook the tension from  their shoulders. “There. All done. You can call me whatever you like  now. Just, don’t be too harsh…”

“I missed you,” you said. “I thought you’d forgotten about me. How have you been?”

“Forgotten  about you?” they blurted, taking a step towards you and drawing up  short suddenly, as though they had been about to grab you and had  suddenly thought better of it. “How could I forget about you?”

You shrugged, embarrassed, and they backed off.

“Well,  in answer to your other question, I’ve been busy. Lots of folks didn’t  deserve the April Fool’s they got, and while it’s not my department to  fix them - most of the time - I did get to prank a lot of the people who  were spiteful. It’s one of my busiest times of year actually.”

“Didn’t get the prick who stood me up, did you?” you asked over your shoulder as you led the way into the kitchen.

They shook their head. “Sorry.”

“Ah well. Maybe he’ll get his comeuppance some time.”

Locke remained quiet for a long moment, and when you looked back at them, you found them staring intently at you.

“What?”

They swallowed thickly. “I shouldn’t be here.”

“Why not? You just got here. What’s wrong?”

They  sank their teeth into their lower lip and turned away, long hair  swinging in its ponytail. Their hand was on the door. “I… I can’t. I  can’t grow attached. I mustn’t. It… It never ends well.”

“For whom?”

“For me,” they choked, back turned towards you. “I can’t do it again.”

“Again?”

Locke  didn't move for a while and then they sighed. “Many, many years ago, I  grew attached to a mortal. As all mortals do, they aged and died. And it  was the most painful thing I’ve ever endured. I won’t do it again.”

“I  understand,” you said, betrayal suddenly lancing, hot and sharp,  through your chest. Fuck, but this hurt. Anger bubbled up underneath it.  “But maybe you shouldn’t have put all that effort into making me like  you so much that night.”

They suddenly whipped around, eyes wide. “Oh no…”

“What?”

“I… I’ve hurt you…” and then they clutched at their throat and chest, wheezing, gasping, falling heavily to their knees.

You raced to their side. “Locke?”

“I swore…” they choked. “I swore on my True Name…”

“I  swear on my True Name, Locke, that no harm will come to you from me,  nor will I allow others to hurt you.” Their words rang in your ears.  “You didn’t mean to,” you said. “I get it. It’s ok. You’re just trying  to protect yourself. Locke… it’s… it’s ok!”

Their whole body shook and convulsed and they toppled sideways into your arms. “I’m so sorry…”

“Locke, what can I do? You didn’t mean to hurt me! You didn’t really. Not really…”

“But I did hurt you,” they smiled, tears filling their eyes as the pain obviously mounted in their chest.

“Then I forgive you,” you all but screeched, terrified that they were going do die in your arms for inadvertently breaking their word. “I forgive you!”

As  if a great weight had been lifted from their chest, they gulped in a  lungful of air like a surfacing free-diver, their spine arching back on  itself. Then Locke went limp in your lap, barely breathing, eyes closed.

“Locke?”

“Well,” they croaked when they’d recovered, still lying there. “That was dramatic…”

“You scared the shit out of me! I thought you were going to die!”

“I… I would have done… if you hadn’t forgiven me…”

You  closed your eyes and lowered your face, touching their clammy forehead  with your own. “You’re nothing but trouble, you know that?” you asked,  and the two of you began to laugh.

As  the adrenaline and fear retreated, it left something hot and searing  between the two of you. Locke stared up at you with those golden eyes as  you held their lean, wiry body in your lap, and you bit your lip.  Tentatively, you bent down again and pressed a hesitant kiss to their  lips. With a moan, Locke reached up and tangled their long, elegant  fingers in your hair, pulling closer to you, deepening the kiss almost  immediately.

Everything  that had lain dormant in you for months suddenly kindled and caught  fire, and you found yourself pulling Locke to their feet, steadying them  as they swayed a little, and then, in the blink of an eye, you had been  backed up against the nearest wall, and Locke was kissing you  senseless.

Those  hands roamed all over you, sculpting the outlines of your body,  sneaking under your shirt until you gasped, playfully skimming between  your legs to leave you gasping, and as you reared closer to their body,  you found that they were just as sensitive.

“Bedroom,” Locke hissed. “If… If you’d like…?”

“Yes,” you gasped between kisses.

You  took Locke to your room and the two of you took pleasure in removing  each other’s clothes. Locke’s body was as beautiful as you’d  anticipated. They bore strange, swirling tattoos all the way down their  left side, from their collarbone all the way to their mid-thigh, and as  your hands touched the waistband of their dark underwear, you heard them  rasp, “What… What would you like? Remember, I can take any form…”

“I  want you as you are, Locke,” you said, and for that honest answer you  were pushed back onto the bed with a growl like that of a panther, and  treated to their mouth leaving a trail of fiery kisses from your neck to  your groin.

Once you were fully naked, Locke’s eyes widened and they let out a soft moan. “Can I taste you? Can I use my mouth on you?”

You  nodded, breathless, and they lowered their lips. They suckled and let  their tongue work over you, tasting you, devouring you, until you were a  shivering, whining, moaning wreck.

You  reached forwards and grabbed Locke's curling horns, making them growl  again, the vibrations searing straight through you. “I’m… I’m going to…  Dammit, Locke, I’m so close…”

Locke pulled luxuriantly back off you and drawled, “So am I, sweetheart…”

“Untouched?”

They  nodded. “You have no idea what kind of energy you’re giving off right  now. I feel like I’m drunk on it.” Their words were indeed slurred and  their eyelids hung heavy over their golden gaze.

“You sure you’re not an incubus?” you smiled.

“I’m sure,” they grinned, returning their attention to you once more.

You  didn’t last much longer, and to your surprise, as you gave in to the  cresting wave of pleasure, you heard a harsh cry from Locke. They  pressed their face against your lower stomach, back curving, torso  crunching, as they came too. Their orgasm tore through them with the  power of a riptide, drawing everything they had and more from them. They  cried out and convulsed, shaking and moaning and whimpering, one hand  vanishing from your thigh where it had been holding you firmly, and you  suspected they were easing themselves through the very end of their  orgasm.

When  they finally collapsed sideways onto the bed beside you, they were  breathing heavily and still twitching. Their dark, slate grey thighs  were covered in a thick, milky fluid, and they looked utterly spent.

You stroked their long hair back off their face and saw evidence of your pleasure halfway up their cheeks too.

“What  a glorious mess you are, Locke,” you chuckled, and as you uttered their  True Name, they shivered violently and moaned. “Locke?” The reaction  was the same. “Locke,” you whispered in their ear.

“Cruel, cruel human,” they croaked, but their complaints dissolved into a little chuckle. “That was… intense.”

“So I see,” you said.

You  slipped away and cleaned up, leaving them to get their breath back, and  when you returned with a damp wash cloth, they watched, surprised, as  you wiped their slim, strong thighs clean with tender strokes.

“Thank you,” they murmured, watching you.

You  placed a sweet little kiss on the inside of their ankle as you  retreated to dump the cloth in the sink, and when you came back, you  found them standing and looking around for their underwear.

“Are you going already?” you asked, unable to hide the disappointment from your voice.

“I’d very much like to stay,” the said hopefully.

You grinned. “I had just been thinking about going to bed before you showed up.”

“What impeccable timing I have, as ever,” they grinned, flashing their white, sharp teeth.

You brushed your teeth and washed your face, and then climbed in beside them. Apparently trickster spirits can just magic their teeth clean and their breath fresh.

You  lay facing them for a while, and they stroked your hair tenderly. After  a few minutes, Locke spoke. “No one has ever done that for me before.”

“Done what?”

They  sighed and brought the flat of their hand skimming along your thigh in a  chaste, sweet gesture. “Cleaned me like that afterwards. Cared for me,  afterwards.”

You  let your eyes slide from their handsome, beautiful face to where their  dark-skinned hand lay curled on the sheets beside yours, and you laced  your fingers with theirs.

“I wish you could stay here with me,” you said. “Just… you know… have a break for a bit…”

They smiled. “You’d have to summon me properly for that.”

“I  could never do that,” you said earnestly. “I could never chain you.”  You shuddered. “I wouldn’t do it, even if I did have magic, which I  don’t.”

“Oh,  you do,” they countered immediately. “Everyone does. Just… not everyone  can access it. You shared it with me just now. It’s… It’s why I came so  intensely.”

“Oh…” was all you could think of in response to that. “Well, anyway, you're welcome to stay here for a while.”

“Would you like me to stay?”

“Yes.”

With  a kiss on your forehead that made you instantly drowsy, Locke smiled. “Then I’ll stay until I’m summoned away, or until you send me away. Now,  rest. You’ve earned it.”

Locke  stroked your hair a few more times until you slipped seamlessly into a  dreamless sleep. When you woke in the morning, you found that you’d rolled over, and that the two of you were slotted together like measuring spoons. They had wrapped their body around yours and had their chest pressed tightly up against your back, one arm draped over your  waist. The other arm lay beneath your pillow.

Their  deep, even breathing fanning out across your shoulder was the only sound in the room, and all the tension melted from their beautiful body as the immortal trickster slept beside you.
