“Mith? You ok?” you asked the pale alien as they stood on the observation deck of the spaceship, staring out at the vastness of the galaxy beyond. 

They nodded and turned to face you. It had been a standard week since you and they had first started sleeping together, and as you approached, they opened their arms and held one hand out to you, the petals of their pale body gently filling with a blushing pink. 

“Look at it,” they murmured, their soft hand closing around yours and squeezing tightly. You knew they sensed everything that flooded through your body - the thrill of contact, the skip in your heartbeat, the rush of serotonin which saturated your brain, and they waited for you to steady yourself, holding you against their hard, lean body.  “The whole universe lies out there for me now…”

“For us,” you smiled. “Where shall we go first?”

“Isn't that up to the Captain?” they asked, laughing and nuzzling against you, their collar-like petals rising around their shoulders for a moment, almost like a preening bird. 

“True,” you admitted, “But when I get some time off, you get to come with me. We can go anywhere you want to go.”

“Show me your world,” they murmured softly. “I have heard of ‘Earth’, but I have never really studied it. Show me your home.”

“Home,” you said quietly. “It’s been so long since I was back there. But I’m sure we can visit. I’ll take you to all my favourite places - there are these waterfalls not far from my house which are just… stunning, and the wildlife in the woods is amazing. You’ll love bears, I’m sure. But just… don’t try to pet them…”

Mith’in laughed and nodded, leaving a little kiss atop your forehead.
