There are many different types of shotgun reloads, almost as many as there are types of shotgun uses. In this video Polenar shows just a couple of them so you can see the difference between "tactical" and "competition". There's also a more exotic reload at the end :)

In this video Polenar shows a couple of different reload techniques for a shotgun. Tactical or combat reloads are performed in a way that the shooter still maintains control over the area and is able to engage threats that occur during reload. Competition reloads revolve solely around speed and efficiency of loading.
