Don't put any valuable/important equip in your pants' pockets. I really like helikon equipment, but I never was lucky with their trousers. My utp shorts both lost several pockets (fabric or seams) during 1-2 year usage (only in summer) and I got this issue with my otp long pants. I have been and will be repairing those because I love them for several reasons, but for heavy usage I'd definitely always choose my 5.11s.

Interesting I only broke an internal pocket on my UF PRO Strike XT pants. Helikon OTP seems to be super durable. In Poland we walked through a couple of brushes and thorns without any visible damage to the pants. Could be poor QC - i received shorts from Helikon that had a poor seem on the waist velcro.

Interesting is that I had the same seam problems on two different shorts - so that might be a thing. On the upper hand I never had problems with the surface material, although the 5.11 stuff showed to be way more sturdy (I move on sandstone and in rough forest areas quite often, both in job and free time, and especially sand stone is a killer for poor materials).
