SUNDAY GRIND HALLOWEEN

Comments

Stephen

We're back on Vimeo? I'm guessing due to the copyright.

Brandon Amato

I can see why they waited 6 months to release this.

Sam Fischer

Love Walt on the Sunday Grind episodes! He's the straw that stirs the drink

Hass

This movie is iconic, glad you guys did this in the build up to Halloween. Walt’s takes both never cease to astound me yet are hilarious. Keep up the great work guys🙏🏽

mikeydajune

Good episode, sucks that the movie was out of sync with their audio though. Bry and Sunday are right... the harsh lights and speaking over the movie take away from they experience.

Aaron loney

This was awesome. Would love to watch along to some of the guys favourite movies sometime if that could work

John Demsey

Love Sunday Grind, unfortunately it goes out of sync during the Bob/Linda death scene for some reason where the movie jumps ahead.

RaspaStillGrooves

This is great, also would love some more ToHo to the Movies!

KVLT

Halloween 3 is the best of all the Halloween movies. Walt has just absolutely vindicated my ideas towards the first movie though, its great but i started watching slashers in the mid 2000s, so the winks and nudges in the likes of Scream meant when i got round to Halloween id seen it all done before. Halloween was the originator which is really cool and nothing can take that away, but the slasher has been and continues to be done to death. Ive never seen another movie like SoTW.

Master Of None

Love this episode. Thanks for all the hard work. Can we please have the audio sync to the movie video and guys synced to the movie next time please.

Marshall Elliott

I would love more episodes of Walt watches horror! Can think of nothing better.

I know. My comment was what Bryan said in the opening of the show regarding how the next few episodes were going to be "walts first time" watching some movies he's never seen.

Sean Murphy

Even under perfect conditions, I don’t think Walt would like this. Just not his style.

Michael J Curtis

Very fun episode and perfect build up to Halloween content! To me this movie was all about the tension as a kid, definitely makes a difference how it's viewed, sometimes it's what you don't see that makes it enjoyable. More of these with Walt please, and Q with Basket Case! (Mother's Day would be a riot too!)

Broonly1

Absolutely fuck yes ...finally a good flick at the old grindhouse or at least something I know I'm still a young pup at 43 lol

Dan C

2 minutes in and I’m already hating Vimeo - what a god awful piece of shit app

Tim Bradish

Keep the Sunday Grind coming.

CosmicTrashPanda

The is the best stuff from Bry, super informative! Walt's going to hate all these movies but I think it would be fun to see him try haha

Drew

Next time please don't rewind at all since it seems to have thrown off the rest of the sync. Other than that, a fun watch!

Chris Catterall

Much better with 3 people. Especially Walt. This is a good mix. I knew Jeff's second name VERY early on in TESD, I knew it was secret so I never said it. Just like I'll never reveal Gitem's real name.

Taylor Martin

Halloween 1978 still is in my top 5 movies of all time. Can't get over how terrible that latest trilogy ended up being lol

steve munoz

This was great. I'd love to see all 3 of you tackle puppet master. I think that Walt can needle Sunday over his love of the franchise.

Hank

I've always hated this movie, supremely overrated but yall actually made it an enjoyable watch

Marco Mandujano

I love this movie, I wish Walt could've watched it before. But as an OG TESD fan, I'm glad he finally watched it.

Rick

Hey Guys, if the original Omen is considered a Sunday Grind I would love to watch it.

Tyson

Love this movie and Walt they could never make me hate you.

Tim Ryckman

Hope we get more of Walt watching movies for the first time. Halloween is my favorite horror movie of all time and it's too bad Walt didn't like it. Still a great episode.

Michael

Love the Sunday grind episodes, I hope the get around to watch “They Live” someday

Broonly1

Halloween 2 is a must now

Broonly1

Maybe next time dim lights and just play movie with your commentary lol maybe Walt will be able to see it

Winston Gambro

I agree with Walt, I watched Halloween for the first time this year and was surprised by how much teen drama and otherwise slow scenes were in the movie. I respect what it started, but I don't think it holds up.

Jordon Richardson

My favorite horror movie! Not favorite series of horror movies that’s a tie between 13th and nightmare on elm street, but this movie is my favorite horror movie. First time I saw it shit scared the hell out of me. The pacing and music are just perfect!

Joy Tincher

This is a movie I make a point to watch every Halloween for nostalgia. I can see how if this is your first time watching it, it could be rough.

Gavan Corrigan

They don’t like The Babadook?!? That’s one of my all time favorites

Tom Rader

Halloween is my wife's favorite movie, she has watched it dozens and dozens of times, and can quote all the dialog.

Fingaz

Halloween as a series is ok. I can get over ALL of the inconsistencies between all the movies....but Halloween 3 totally hated it. Could not stand it

Omar Leonard

What horror movie is different these days? Talk To Me, Host, It Follows, Hereditary, Get Out, Creep(both), The Witch, Green Room, Raw, Cabin in the Woods, Tigers are not Afraid, Happy Death Day, The Last Exorcism, Mandy, The Autopsy of Jane Doe. To name a few.

Andy Boxall

This was great. It's so enjoyable to listen to Sunday and Bry talk about horror, and appreciate Walt being there with a different viewpoint. Looking forward to the next one!

Matt Brooks

Should watch a clockwork orange that movie is great

Steve D.

Anybody else’s sound get out of sync towards the latter half of the flick? The guys were commenting really late on scenes that had already happened.

Dusty2099

I'd watch more of these, Comic Book Men to Classic Blockbuster Movie Men, see how well the movies still hold up. I agree with Walt completely, very slow for a "slasher movie" but the rest of the Halloweens are good for that. I hope they do JAWS next for Bry. And we need some lamps up in here, softer lighting for Sunday lol. C'mon Coach Git'em.

Eric

Bry is trying really hard to appreciate this film, and Walt and Sunday just in there with the yuks.

Devilvamp

Walt! That pencil holder is awesome! I am 100% using it as a coffee mug!

Alister

Walt is agoraphobic?

BlueCrayon77

They should stop inviting Walt on these. Such a downer. Used to love hearing two guys passionate about the films they were covering!

Dave Ernst

Just learned from this episode that Sunday Jeff & I both lived in Schaumburg, IL. Small world man

CJ Le Grr

I think Halloween would have been a lot worse if I had to watch it with my glasses off in a bright office room.

Clint @alwaysawake.co

One of my all-time favorite movies! What a terrible way to watch it for the first time for Walt lol. Atmosphere had a big hand in making this movie. Slashers weren’t about the body count prior to the 80s boom. Sigh.

CJ Le Grr

You guys need to do 1968 Night of the Living Dead. It’s open source and you could upload to YouTube without getting flagged.

Amanda

Walt: I can't see the guy who is taking up the entire screen. Also Walt: See the 1/4“ corner of that comic book buried under a stack of books and hidden under the table? 😂😂😂
