Isaac

These are awesome, Finally getting around to watching them!

Amanda

Rickets 😂

Ocyrus Hightop

only half way through but i can’t believe i waited to watch these, i didn’t realize this was the format! walt having to reel in sunday when he did the “shocked japanese noise” fucking ended me lmao. really hope this series isn’t dead!

Diane Clinton

This was so much fun. Loved the chatter. Walt and Sunday Jeff, please do more.

Diane Clinton

2021 version of Mystery Science Theater 3000

Thomas O'Beirne

If you did this once a fortnight on a higher tier, I’d pay more to watch along.

Rich Mendoza

Better than your previous MSTK attempts, kudos

Anthony Monero

I haven’t seen this movie since I was a kid. Back then I didn’t think twice about Japanese actors in blackface and Afro wigs. Hope they do Gamera next.

Lindsay

That’s it. This is the best one yet. This is the greatest and the editing is so well done 😂

DL MacDonald

Looks fun. Gave it a quick look as I don’t have time to watch it all yet but they claim they’re going to offer insightful and witty commentary. First Line: What’s that? Shakespeare? Anyone know?

Phillip Lewis

10 seconds in and I can already tell this is amazing.

Erin B

This is amazing. Truly.

Jared Cronce

Awesome, this was very enjoyable and I’m pretty excited to see what films they do next.

Brett Bonner

Jeff on balloons is some funny stuff. Great episode

Carol A Walker

I loved this! I remember watching this movie when I was a kid!

Rio Riojas

Great effing series. Definitely easier to watch then the riff bits in my opinion. Great stuff

Alexander Perretti

I loved the episode. Since Walt seemed uncomfortable commentating the full length of the movie, perhaps you guys should use the "Red Letter Media" "Re:view" format, might be easier to do for you guys.

Paul

What an awesome intro 🤟

Ian goldspink

This beta sucks on Ipad if I pause and come back and it has gone imto sleep power mode, when I turn back on it goes right back to the beginning

Thomas

That intro made this all worth it. Great job!

Double Chocolate

This looks great. Unscripted commentary is way better than the scripted type IMO. And what an awesome intro.

Matt Watts

Awesome show! Can't wait for more of these

Ian Groovy

Awesome! Love TESD and love The Big G!

Greg Last

Git em was right!! This was awesome and I liked it more than the MST ones you guys did. This was so much fun to watch!!!!

Prak1980

I cried, and my side hurts from watching Walt & Jeff dancing with Kong! Did not expect that

Joe Soldezzo

This was great ! . And that theme intro is magnificent !! 🙌🏼💙. I don’t think you guys need to worry about talking too much or too little. I’d watch guys read the phone book.

john thayne

More of these and I Buy Comics!!!!!

hesbackinpogform

This is one of my favorite things you guys have done on Patreon.

Matt S 90

Hell yeah, this is my new favorite series. Maybe after toho movies do comic book films

Tyler

This is incredible!

Phillip Lewis

I really like this new show and I am looking forward to seeing a lot more. The memories and the analysis are great.

almost82004

As someone who hasn’t seen any toho movies I can’t think of a better way to watch them. Can’t wait to see more episodes of this! And awesome job Chuck you’ve outdone yourself

Mowatt

Always wanted to get into these but kept putting it off cause no one would watch them with me. Glad I do now! Thanks guys!

Luz Lenoir

At first, I didn't think I was going to like this because it felt like my attention was split in two but after the first 5 minutes I started to like the funny comments and opinions. It was like when I watched Star Wars for the first time and my friend commented through the movie. It makes it easier to follow.

Maxx Sanchez

They really should watch the Japanese originals after watching the US Dubs. They’re completely different movies without all the American actors butting in. Those parts were filmed solely for the US release. That’s why it switched back and forth from being serious to goofy lol

Steve D.

Love this idea. Hope this series continues.

Greg Last

48:01 has me in tears. Walts reaction is priceless

Ian Barkley

Great stuff guys. Ive only ever watched the Japanese version of the movie, it is cut very differently from the US version.

Q Ross

Sperm squids!! lmao

Chad Williamsen
>>62811548

Yeah agree, unscripted is better. I could listen to Walt & crew talk about anything as long as they’re passionate about it

Austin Gates

A couple of buds watching a flick! I love it.

Kristin Farley

Please do more of these!!!! This was fantastic

Steven Webb

Awesome hope to see more!!!!!

Zach Blunk

Anything TESD is all I want I still use the Vimeo version bc I can cast it to my TV I know it costs the guys to use so if the guys ditch it for this route I'll just have to suck it up watch it on my phone

Garner Boogaerts

One of the best things put out on Patreon and I love the other content. Please more.

Matt Leonard

Love all the content you guys do can’t wait Toho see the next one

Cameron

Awesome 😎👍

Amanda

Love it guys!!!

Bree

So awesome!!

Deana Novak

This is amazing! The perfect way to watch these movies for someone who hasn’t seen them. And kudos Chuck for that green screen work! Keep it up!

Christine Strough

This is great. I grow up loving these movies and listening to you two is so much fun

Jerry Driscoll

This was amazing! I’m a huge monster movie guy, which is not the norm for my age, but please keep doing these!

Jay Crisologo

You guys definitely got something here - I ended up going to watch more Godzilla movies on HBO Max (in the international section). Would love your take on Godzilla vs Gigan which was the thing I watched.

Bridget Barone

Absolutely loved watching this! Please keep it going. I’m a huge Toho fan, watched all the movies on tv with my dad when I was a kid

Adam Carroll

Great video! I immediately recognized the voiceover in the opening - I knew it had to be Geoffrey Locke. Glad he's still part of TESD Town

Daniel Carter

This rules! Please keep them going>

Mark Stewart

Great addition to an already stellar line-up! More of it! (Hope to see: "The War of the Gargantuas" at some point) :D

Steve Sims

Kilamanjaro, the biggest mountain in Japan!!? Classic Walt playing stupid, he even almost lets the word Fuji slip from his lips before hand. Love Walt, he is a legend, his skill of playing stupid has always been one of the best bits of TESD.

Steve Sims

Much prefer this format to the riffing format.

Steve Sims

Jeff on the balloons, love it.

Christopher Day

Great episode! Happy to see more of these.

Adam Schmid

Loved this! I think they could also splice their bits/skits into the commentary if they feel like it drags too much in spots. Keep em coming!

Furlanthropist

This was fantastic! I know it must've been hard for Walt but I was really entertained by this. My mom even happened to come into the room when the last fight came on and she sat through the whole fight just laughing at Kong's goofiness. Glad I was able to experience this thanks to everyone's efforts! I really hope there is more to come.

Robin maloney

Awesome, didn't know these was a video version. Had to stop the podcast as i was going to look for the movie to watch as listen... You're the best

James roberts

I love when Git em is Wrong and Walt is right MT. FUJI !!! you dumb fu$#%...jk

Cas

Knocked it outta the park with this one. Can’t wait for the next one. Plus the next I Buy Comics.

Alex Lukens

I cannot tell you how much I love this. PLEASE do more.

Evan Reynolds

That was great. Please keep this series going!!!

Chad Sell

Fantastic! Great show

wilx

Mount Kilimanjaro is in Japan accoring to 148

Nick Hayward

Absolute genius! Please do more!!

Jordan gold

Commentary format is much better!! Loved this!

Mubot

LOVE THIS!

herp dehurr

Good concept for a series. You should get a list of movie trivia and quiz Sunday during the slower parts.

Kevin richard arias

I love this show so much! Whenever i have a bad or stressful day TESD is my comfort podcast and toho movies have been my comfort movies and this is the best of both worlds and already has helped me through one of the hardest weeks ive had in a very long time. THANK YOU

NOMOWOKEPEEPO

I really appreciate what you guys are doing as a collective and it’s awesome to be apart of such a nice community just joined again after awhile so hello to all!!

Michael martin

Keep embracing what you love Walt. This is amazing. I’d bea Patreon subscriber for life just for more of this. Thank you for making my Saturday evening more fun and wholesome

Ian Groovy

This is the best thing ever! I need more of this. There goes Tokyo!

J.P.

This was so good.

Wolf

walt and jeff dancing when kong fought the octopus hit me soo hard...cant wait for more of these......also i cant believe nobody mentioned the 100 japanese ppl in blackface...who produced this movie Justin Trudeau?

Luke Barker

I like this format - Often these are movies ive wanted to watch but know Ill never get around to watching it by myself - I find the movies a bit slow. Having you guys watching and chatting overtop makes it a much better way to get into it. Long periods of silence would be good with me though

RE Jones

My favorite TESD series. A scripted segment mid-movie would be great. Any of the goofy Gamera's would be great too.
