TESD on laser disc titled "Cave Paintings"...yes please

Chris Catterall

Please don't try to keep it short.... The longer the better! Seeing a nearly 2 hour show absolutely made my evening, thank you! Seriously, it's no issue if they're long. Personally, I'd ALWAYS prefer that.

Over the top laugh tracking at Kev’s lines reminds me of a storyline in The Sopranos where Tony realizes someone in his crew was going to be a bigger problem, and had to be removed. It hits Tony when he realizes the guy is the ONLY guy at a poker game that isn’t unbelievably guffawing at Tony’s jokes!

Sadly I don’t see same hipster fueled revival as vinyl and music cassette tapes did. Laser discs didn’t have decades of being “the ONLY way to enjoy this at home or when you are in cars, etc” that the other media platforms did. Though it’d might not be a bad Patreon supporter gift as a gag ;)

Captain America

I think it was either the original Mallrats or Chasing Amy disc commentary track, but the commentary was made specifically for a laser disc release and someone said “FUCK DVD!” So, when the DVD version of that movie was produced, they put that prerecorded track on there, but with an intro from Kevin apologizing for the “FUCK DVD” line, since it was clear the small disc format won that “war,” and blamed it on Affleck!
