BlueLine Vibes

Please post in the discord, as this comment section is dedicated to the new release of my BlueLine Flashlight Realism mod. Best to post in the patreon-chat channel for the discord as I have several very helpful Patron members in there. I try and hop on as often as possible to help everyone out as well. Thank you.

BearScoop

Such a “bright” idea!! Looks great!

Fivoll

Question I have the TLS AR-15 installed but I used it as a replacement for the carbine not an addon. Can I still just drag and drop it into weapon meta?

UpperMidnight

as always, you spoil us Mike! Thanks a lot man! 13:05 would you please supply the lines for us to paste since some have already made some changes to their meta files. Thanks again!

EasTexBull

Installing now, Thanks

ram val

great job brotha !!

Montel Beatty

How do you set the mk2 pistol as your main duty weapon in lspdfr?

Skylar King

Will it work for the TLS ads on Glock

Bulletbill88

Thank You Very Much Mike Very excited to try this out

BlueLine Vibes

Thanks for watching! It's great you're already so familiar with the mod. In this video, I specifically focused on the new metafile construction and the custom flashlight graphic I made for Patreon members, so hopefully that part was useful for those looking for those specifics!

BlueLine Vibes

Yep, it's compatible! You'll find the details on that throughout the video.

BlueLine Vibes

Do you have Stop The Ped Installed? You would change it under your Realistic Weapon System This is an example for my MK2 in Stop The Ped Config under RealisticWeaponSystem // Set your handgun weapon name and it's components. Components parameter can be more than one (comma delimited). HandgunWeaponName=WEAPON_PISTOL_MK2 HandgunWeaponComponents=COMPONENT_AT_PI_FLSH_02,COMPONENT_AT_PI_RAIL,COMPONENT_AT_PI_COMP

BlueLine Vibes

Sure, do you need the flashlight fix for the AR-15?

BlueLine Vibes

Good question. Is it the same weaponscomponents.meta file as the original? Or did you paste the code for your TLS AR-15 into the carbine rifle part of the weaponscomponent.meta? Hope that makes sense. I can attach a text file above that just has the code if you want to add it in in yourself if you like. EDIT: If you need the meta data only for the AR-15 - I attached the Riflecode above

BlueLine Vibes

If you need the meta data only for the AR-15 - I attached the Riflecode above

B9Bot 1

I not only like it Mike but I also like to say thank you for the updated mod.

UpperMidnight

Man you really are the GOAT! I was just referring to the next meta update for the rifles firing range, can't wait! 😍

Speedy

This is awesome BLV I most definitely putting his in my game thank you for what you do see you in the next one

GTA FANATIC

This is amazing, now we just need someone to make a spot light mod because the one everyone has been using for years no longer works in my game no matter what i do. Good Job Sir ty

BlueLine Vibes

I wonder why it is not working for you. I am about to come out with a new DLC Addon Car Pack for Step by Step and Advanced users. I will be mentioning the Spotlight mod. I installed it yesterday to confirm it still works. I have zero issues with it, even with an addon vehicle.

BlueLine Vibes

Oh gotcha, my bad. Yes that is my plan as I don't want to overwrite the main weapon meta file. That is precisely what I was thinking anyways. Probably better to copy and paste the info in there. I am almost done with it, I just want to calibrate the rifle to be able to tag targets far down the road. This will require more testing as I don't want the ped to despawn by the time you get there LOL

GTA FANATIC

You remember trying to help me with that same issue lol it’s still not working man such a bummer and I have tried everything.

UpperMidnight

Haha imagine that, thanks again for all that you do for us Mike!

BlueLine Vibes

Ah yes, now I do remember trying to help you with that. You are still the only person I have ever seen with this problem lol

abstractRohan

The mod looks amazing but for some reason the offsets are not aligned for me, especially for the rifle. Any fix for this?

abstractRohan

Uhh I don't think that was me. We spoke about CoreFX if im not wrong. Could you please link me to that msg so I can fix the issue?

BlueLine Vibes

All good, probably someone else. At least we got that flashlight fixed.

BlueLine Vibes

IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE STOP THE PED INSTALLED - Navigate to your lspdfr folder and open your lspdfr.ini Make sure that you have this set to true below, as it helps with the flashlight in the game. Ambient.DisablePlayerFlashlightOverride = true

abstractRohan

Haha yeah, feels pretty sick to actually be able to see the game on foot during night-time patrols now. Still find it funny how it was just a simple config change and we were busy burrying our noses in the metafiles and what not LOL

민석 지

Can you share the custom folder in the grammar police folder you use ini file?

𝓁𝒾𝒶𝓂

Hey i got a question my grammar police is really quiet when she responds i was wondering if you got any fix for that thx (nvm i got it to work)

BlueLine Vibes

Good deal, can you reply back with how you fixed it by chance? I get this type of question asked frequently and wanted to see how you fixed it.

𝓁𝒾𝒶𝓂

Yeah it was xscanner or i think its called that well the sound volume on it was low so i turned it up and grammer police got normal again (Sorry if i explained this weird) And if i may ask where did you get the barriers att the station in the city

𝓁𝒾𝒶𝓂

Had to double check its in Police scanner then volume

WronaGamer

Where did you get the cars from?

BlueLine Vibes

I think the cars were from Ripple's Valor pack. Sorry, I forget where I got that livery from.

BlueLine Vibes

Thanks for the info. Yes that would do it. This will be a common issue when the new police scanner comes out. People will not adjust their volumes .... Not sure what you mean by "barriers" are you referring to the entire police station at Mission Row?

B9Bot 1

I didn't get the call sign post until you closed it already. Otherwise I would have responded Mike. Working and such.

jk98

I have this issue too, what was the fix for it? Both the rifle and Mk2 pistol

Mike Anderson

Do you have a list of all the mods that you personally use? I thought you said in a video that you did but I could be wrong.

BlueLine Vibes

You can visit my website - these are the mods I currently use. There always could be a few not on the list here, but I would say 98% is here. You need to paste this URL into your browser as Patron sucks with the lack of being able to link something in their own comments. https://www.bluelinevibes.com/mods

Mike Anderson

Oh I apologize. I kept looking on here and didn't go to your website. Thank you.

BlueLine Vibes

No problem, hope you find what you need. Reply back if you need anything.

MuhoS

Hello, I installed the mod and it looks absolutely beautiful but can you help me fix the offset problem with the flashlight? It points little bit up and right how can I make it appear on crosshair. Thank you

BlueLine Vibes

To get it precisely on crosshairs is a huge challenge. The flashlight ring itself changes depending on camera angle, and perspective to the target (Is player close or further away from target). However, I am coming out with another variation to the torch file (graphic ring) of the flashlight that is projected against targets. It would be meant for 3rd person aiming. It will be about as close as you can achieve without distorting the flashlight ring itself. I have already tested it and it works fairly well for the most part. This works a lot better if the target is approximately 10 to 20 feet from the player. However, due to graphic limitations, it would be impossible to keep that beam of light on path with a crosshair dead center from targets that is 50-80 feet away. For that to happen, there would have to be a mod built into the game that can detect target zone reference. Personally I hide my reticule as it feel more realistic and hardly noticeable if my shot is slightly off from flashlight ring. Please Note: I have not tested the Flashlight Realism with ViewPointV (script that I reviewed over on YouTube) so I am unsure of what outcome the flashlight would have for the player. Might be interesting though :) I will come out with this update over the weekend.

MuhoS

This sounds awesome! I kinda got used to it so it doesn't feel weird anymore. Also I commented on your video but had no reply, are you still using the same gore mods? I set it up like you did on your guide but it doesn't look like yours. Blood on ped looks amazing but blood pools look underwhelming. How to get big blood pools like you? Thank you.

BlueLine Vibes

Test the BlueLine Flashlight Realism v1.2 You will find a new 3rd Person Alternative Graphic Ring in a folder. Test it out and see how it feels. Patron will not allow me to create a link in the comments, so you will have to copy and paste that URL in browser. https://drive.google.com/file/d/15mxwMSiF2lHiIJTYNJvYVRFvP4xLtMzL/view?usp=sharing About the Blood Mod: GTA 5 had an update in July that broke several of the Blood Decals. However, I have a video coming out over here on patreon that will combine 3 mods together that you will find rather useful. New Blood mod that fixed that issue and some new physics. Been using it over the last few days and it's a pretty good combo of mods look for that coming out in this next week.

MuhoS

Thank you so much you are the best

BlueLine Vibes

That is from the Police Station at mission row. Basically an entire map for the police station, garage and also the barriers outside. It was meant for FiveM, but I had a buddy convert that into Single Player use. It's not available to the public though, and I took it out of my game as I that was the number one question in the comments. Most would downvote the video after they find out that the station is not available to the public, so I just flat took it out of the game. Not worth the hassle for me.

HOW TO WE ALIGN THE LIGHT WITH THE SCOPE

BlueLine Vibes

I am coming out with a small update this week for this mod that will help a bit. Problem is, the beam of the flashlight is not dynamic. Meaning the new update will be great for a target that is 25 feet in front of you, but targets that exceed that distance, the beam can't adjust as mentioned it is not dynamic enough and change with your distance to target. I have been using it lately and it helps. Look for this update to hit later this week. But as mentioned it will never be 100% due to limitations imposed by Rockstar.

BlueLine Vibes

New Update v1.2 - New Video attached for demo - Just released.

BlueLine Vibes

Updated to v1.2 for First and Third person aiming. Enjoy

BlueLine Vibes

New update v1.2 for First and Third person aiming is available

kasi

thanks mike your the best

BlueLine Vibes

Good question. It has been years since I have played on FiveM. Correct me if I am wrong, but FiveM feeds off the main GTA folder structure that is outside the mods folder correct? For example your base Resident file outside mods folder would be a place that you can install a siren that would be heard client sided, correct? Same would go for Weapon sounds as well. Graphics is a bit different as it would need to be installed into a different folder within the FiveM application files. Not 100% if the weaponcomponents would also be stored within those FiveM application files as well. Sorry, I wish I could give you a better answer on that. Sure it is definitely possible, albeit it would be client sided unless you had access to the actual FiveM server files.

NovaTheGoat

do you know why my light is showing 2 beams of light?

BlueLine Vibes

2 beams of light, that is interesting. I have never seen that before. Any way for you to send me a screen shot? You can DM over here on Patron.

sookxn

I Don't have the add on tlsddm for the rifle flash light. I tried looking for that rifle you added but can't seem to find it

sookxn

I realized after watching it 😆

BlueLine Vibes

It's all good. I should have been a bit more clear on the video, so not your fault. I stated "if you had the gun" I didn't mention if you bought the gun, sorry about that.

Joshua Hutton

How are you moving your handheld flashlight like that? ive been trying to do it doesnt work

BlueLine Vibes

Go to your lspdfr.ini file inside your lspdfr folder. Look for this line of code below: This needs to = true like this Ambient.DisablePlayerFlashlightOverride = true If you are using Policing Redefined the flashlight beam will not work in this animation so it needs to = false The beam over the shoulder is a LSDPFR animation, Stop The Ped gives it a realistic beam.

BlueLine Vibes

You never sent me a DM on Patreon, so I guess you got it working.

Joshua Hutton

Still isn’t working, maybe I installed it wrong. I’m just wondering how your flashback moves with your camera like that. Mine just flashes in one place, doesn’t matter where I look.

BlueLine Vibes

Not sure I understand your question. You may have to explain it better. I am just walking with my mouse and keyboard....

Joshua Hutton

Okay, I’ll try to explain better. At the timestamp 13:45 in the video, when you looked up at the building, the flashlight beam followed your camera angle. When I try to look up, my flashlight beam doesn’t move; the beam just points forward.

BlueLine Vibes

Gotcha, maybe it has to do with the camera angle in your GTA settings? Are you using a Mouse and Keyboard? Maybe try looking at your Keyboard Mouse Settings in GTA in game and see if changing the Mouse input setting at the top to Raw Input or DirectInput makes a difference. You could try changing certain GTA camera settings back to default as well and see if that makes a difference. Is the flashlight over the shoulder, or is it down by your side of your character? The over the shoulder would make a difference as that would need to be enabled within your lspdfr.ini file and you would have to have Stop The Ped installed to make the flashlight beam work.

Joshua Hutton

Yes, my flashlight is over the shoulder. I’ll try messing with the GTA 5 camera settings to see if I could maybe get it to work. The thing I was thinking: that it came with the flashlight mod; I guess not. Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it.

BluelineTac

Hey Mike how do you get your person to aim down the sights of your sidearm?

BluelineTac

I meant in third person how to get your person to aim like that

BlueLine Vibes

Probably through your camera settings in GTA 5. I'm not using anything special.

Marvin H.

Hey BLV, how do you get the character do hold the weapon relatively horizontal besides the hip like in your 0:05 sec mark in the video from 31st october?

BlueLine Vibes

Thanks, I am working on improving this mod a bit more, stay tuned.

MamaPrince

Did it exactly like the video above and I know it works because my default flashlight and weapons have the new light, but the LSPDFR animated flashlight seems unaffected now?

STYXX

This is great BLV!! Always great work and great pricing for everyone! Thanks!

민석 지

RifleCode how is install?

BlueLine Vibes

I'll do a video on how to do that. It would be a bit too much to put into a comment. Give me a few days and I'll post it on this video at the bottom.

hung nguyen

Mine doesn't have a beam of light coming out of the flashlight head.

GTA FANATIC

I bought the TLS AR-15, did everything in the video/readme and my beam is still not great lol welcome to modding haha

BlueLine Vibes

Should work just fine, never had any issues with it. Double check that you have installed the meta files in the correct place.

GTA FANATIC

My mistake was not dragging files to desktop first, this works perfectly now, thanks man. Love what you do so much sir.

Filthyfaux

Just grabbed this - works great, thanks. Using proper flashlights daily, the default has been atrocious hah! Must have for me. I wonder if it's possible to get this flashlight animation with Policing Redefined - holding the torch over the shoulder next to your head? I've understood that it's a LSPDFR feature and having Ambient.DisablePlayerFlashlightOverride in lspdfr.ini set to false should enable it (If using PR)? Neither true nor false do anything in my case, and in PR PropSettings.ini the Flashlight section mentions it is not currently implemented. Is this a StopThePed only feature? Can't seem to find an alternative mod that does this. Thanks for your time, and all the great content/mods!

BlueLine Vibes

Trust me - Don't go down that rabbit hole. I tried for several days in fact to get that to work and it was a waste. However, if you want a good flashlight replacement the smaller black one like the one I use - I got that from Pacific Safety Solutions. Good guy makes quality replacements. If you go to my YouTube video where I did a dumb Cops video recently, go to the very end of that video you can see what the replacement models he has. To me, it's worth it. Hell we won't be playing GTA 6 for another 2 years on PC lol EDIT: Just grabbed the link for ya - I wish I got paid for referrals lol https://youtu.be/CztFtKOtQ8s?si=bAFc28FOjhu6XuO1&t=1171

Filthyfaux

Hah fair enough - I can see it's a dead end.. Just a shame, default animations so awkward, idk if anyone at Rockstar has ever held a torch before! Cops video was a good chuckle, I forgot to check those props actually you showed, Thanks for the reminder. Its definitely better than default, too bad you can barely see it with the default animations lmao. Oh yeah - we won't be just not playing it for 2 years, we'll be dodging spoilers for 2 years too! And even so - I doubt GTA6 is gonna have anything comparable to modded LSPDFR for a long time, honestly the TLS AR-15 is starting to call my name :D Thanks again, have a good one!

BlueLine Vibes

Exactly my thoughts too. Might as well have fun with what we have and if a gun model cost like $25 it is money well spent and usable for years right. Wish they gave me discounts to share out with you guys, their marketing for TLS sucks balls 😂

Shaun Wallace

Can this be use without a graphics mods as I don't use one but really like the look of this flashlight.?

BlueLine Vibes

Yes, you can still use this without graphics mods. The intensity and focus of the beam will Indeed be bright enough.

FAITH-44

WHERE DO I DRAG RIFFLECODE.TXT

BlueLine Vibes

That is only for those that already have a modified weaponcomponents.meta that just wanted the code and paste themselves so that my modified meta did not overwrite yours. Chances are you may not need the code, you can just use the weaponcomponents meta file provided in the download.

FAITH-44

Sorry I believe your reply erased, I was asking where do the Riffle code.txt go

BlueLine Vibes

That file is just an option for people who already have a customized weaponcomponents meta file and don't want to overwrite their own progress. It allows them to manually copy and paste the code. If you haven't customized your file, you can completely ignore that text document and just use the ready-to-go weaponcomponents meta file included in the download.

Wraith

Hi blueline, when I use the flashlight (which btw holy it's so sick) it seems to be off target. The pistol is a bit facing upward while the AR is more upward than the pistol. Any idea on how to fix this?

BlueLine Vibes

Make sure you have watched the 2nd video below the 1st video in description. You will find the update to this mod. Use the First Person or Third person graphic ring. Unfortunately that is about as accurate as I can make that light output onto a surface in third person as Rockstar did not make the light output dynamic enough.
