I like this episode ngl, Alexandrite’s intro being during a dinner party is so funny to me. It’s sweet how the gems were willing to try for Steven, even though they don’t take fusion lightly at this point and it takes a lot of effort. It shows that they care for his relationships and happiness. Steven and Connie episodes are always sweet, too.

Definitely a different tone. Opal was more epic and serious, Sugilite was destructive, and Alexandrite was in a slice of life setting that was funny and ridiculous. And that is true! Just would have been better to just be honest at the beginning. Connie wasn’t the best this episode but I do love their episodes

I love that SU always subverts expectations. You think the garnet and pearl fusion is next, and you also expect that the three way fusion is going to be done in an epic battle kind of format, but it doesn't! they go about it on their own unexpected silly way! Its something I really love about the show.
