News Update: Story Structure Update for The Last Routine and Unfed Desires (Patreon)
Content
Today’s writing work focused heavily on the connective tissue between several upcoming BAHP stories, especially The Last Routine and Unfed Desires.
As these comics continue developing, one thing has become clear. These stories are not isolated events anymore. They are beginning to form a stronger chain around Bambi, Lily, Kate, Butch, Ethan, ApexGen, and the larger forces quietly moving behind Furthia’s public image.
For readers who have mainly followed Bambi, Lily, Kate, Butch, and Ethan so far, this update is about expanding the world around them without losing the personal tension that makes each issue matter.
The Last Routine Issue 2 is still moving forward and remains focused on Kate, Butch, Ethan, and the strange pull surrounding their story. Minor script refinements may still happen, but the core of the issue remains intact. Its role has become even more important because it helps prepare the ground for what follows.
The Last Routine Issue 3 has now grown into a much larger bridge issue. It connects Bambi’s public role, ApexGen’s institutional presence, elite donor influence, and the deeper Hunger Pulse systems beginning to close around her. This issue may also function as part of Unfed Desires Issue 4, or at minimum serve as the direct bridge into the next major Unfed Desires chapter.
The key idea is simple.
Bambi is not just being placed in danger.
She is being studied.
She is being presented.
She is being turned into a symbol that different forces want to control, protect, exploit, or consume.
This chapter will begin introducing more of the elite side of Furthia. Some names may be new to many readers, including Aurelian Morvane and Brunis Valcor. For now, the safest way to describe them is this:
They are not ordinary predators.
They operate through influence, wealth, status, and knowledge. They do not simply attack the world. They arrange it.
That distinction is important because the danger around Bambi is starting to become more organized. Not every threat is wild. Some wear suits. Some sponsor events. Some speak politely while moving pieces into place.
We also continued developing Ethan Vanderleigh as a more defined character within The Last Routine. Ethan is no longer just a supporting figure tied to Butch. He is being shaped as someone with his own emotional pressure, professional fears, contradictions, and place within ApexGen’s machinery. His connection to Kate and Butch will continue to matter as the story grows.
On the Unfed Desires side, the previously planned Gregory focused chapter has shifted forward and is now being treated as Unfed Desires Issue 5.
Gregory H. Bristleford is being rebuilt into a much stronger character. He is awkward, insecure, socially invisible, and deeply fixated on Bambi, but there is now more going on beneath the surface. He wants affection. He wants recognition. He wants to be seen as important.
That makes him vulnerable.
And in this universe, vulnerability can be cultivated.
Gregory’s story will explore how validation, loneliness, intelligence, and appetite can twist together when the wrong person decides to nurture them. His connection to Bambi will become more complicated, more dangerous, and more central to the Hunger Pulse than originally planned.
The larger direction is now much clearer.
Bambi is becoming a focal point for multiple systems at once.
Public image.
Private experimentation.
Elite spectacle.
Scientific curiosity.
Predatory hunger.
And the more people respond to her, the more certain forces begin to understand what she can awaken in others.
This is the direction we worked on today, and it gives the upcoming issues a much stronger spine. The world is getting bigger, but the heart of it remains the same.
Characters being pushed into situations they do not fully understand.
Hunger becoming harder to separate from affection, power, and purpose.
And Bambi standing at the center of something that is only beginning to reveal its shape.
More script updates, comic progress, and previews will continue soon.
Stay Hungry.
