Es un fragmento de un capítulo de La rosa de Guadalupe, una serie mexicana muy común en el país (desconozco si también es popular en otros lugares). Para quienes no hablan español, no se pierden de mucho; solo vean las expresiones de los personajes...

Finally, I want to clarify something: this post was supposed to go up on Monday, but the power went out. The worst part is that my laptop's battery doesn't work, so it shut down abruptly. I was so angry because the file didn't save completely. Fortunately, not much was lost, but I had to redo the missing parts, and I fell behind on other pending work.

Por último, quiero aclarar algo: esta publicación debió salir el lunes, pero se fue la luz. Lo peor es que a mi laptop no le sirve la batería, así que se apagó de golpe. Me dio mucho coraje porque el archivo no se guardó del todo. Afortunadamente, no se perdió gran cosa, pero tuve que rehacer lo faltante y me atrasé con otros pendientes.

It's not an excuse, I really hate when this happens, but it's very common here... If the internet doesn't go down, the power does, screwing me over both ways. I wish it were just for a little while, but it's normal to lose power for hours or even days; the longest I've been without electricity is a week and a half.

No es excusa, realmente odio que pase esto, pero es muy común aquí... Si no falla el internet, se va la luz, y así me friega de ambas formas. Ojalá fuera un ratito, pero es normal quedarnos sin energía por horas o incluso días; lo máximo que me ha tocado estar sin luz es una semana y media.
