This is most definitely, gonna be too much sharing. But the parallels are concerning to me. My 25-year-old niece is 22 weeks long with triplets and as of the 31st, she lost the boy and then on the second she lost one of the girls. My niece suffers from extreme depression and her mother, my sister, has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Right now my niece is obviously dissociated from all of this. Is there any advice your wife could give on how to best support her through this?

These reacts are really nice. It makes me curious what you guys would think of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, though that, being a 4-season show, it's a way longer endeavor

I’m so, so sorry for what your family is going through. It’s really hard to try to be there for people through grief without necessarily trying to make it better (and of course that’s hard, because we don’t want to watch our loved ones suffer), but that’s really what I would recommend trying to do for her. Be there for her by just sitting with her through whatever big emotions she may experience. Let her cry, scream, sit silently, etc and only offer advice/suggestions if it really seems right in the moment, not just because it’s an uncomfortable process. Try to find the balance that seems right for her between checking in on her and giving her some space. When the time seems right, gently try to see if she will consider any kind of therapy, whether that’s individual therapy or maybe even group therapy. There are also a lot of support groups out there for the loss of a child and support groups can sometimes feel less formal/daunting than therapy if she may feel more comfortable with that. Separately, please take care of yourself too ❤️
