Here's a little photographic look behind the magic (or horror) of the Dough Re Me shoot!
This set was HUGE. It's an homage to some of the factory areas in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, with a whole heap of creative liberties - Stupes just really wanted some massive dough pipes. In fact, that was part of the reason for making the video. We always try and do something a bit different to make every video new and interesting, this time it was the cylindrical pipe set and the playdough prosthetics that were the real selling points of the project.
Sadly, our makeup artists for Divide and Ark and the Tinderbox weren't available, but we had the brilliant Jayne on hand for this video! She's worked on a short film with Paul before, so we knew we were in good hands, and she absolutely nailed the Doey makeup!
Would it have been easier and less visually horrifying to make this video entirely in CG? Yes. Would we have had as much fun? Definitely not!
