SHELTER FROM THE STORM | 2022 REMASTER | Frostpunk Rap!

Big things are happening here at Stupendi-HQ! So whilst I work on my next big project how about another remaster? Probably my most requested remaster to date! Frostpunk is one of my favourite games from the past few years and Shelter From the Storm has always been one of my favourite songs from the early days of the channel. But it is definitely showing it's age. It was my first real attempt at large group vocals and harmonies and in hindsight my loose grasp on choral work combined with my not terribly competent mixing could definitely use some TLC. So I'm thrilled to present to you this fully remastered version of the track, along with a remastered video now in 4k with improved visuals! A huge thanks to oo oxygen for their incredible work brining new life to this song. I hope you enjoy this new take on a Stupendium classic and that it tides you over as I work on a whole bunch of new projects! #frostpunk ----- Lyrics and vocals and video by The Stupendium Cinematic/trailer footage by 11 Bit Studios Beat produced by @Dansonn Beats Additional instrumentation by @Eskelater Remastering by @oo oxygen Frostpunk, its world and characters are the property of 11 Bit Studios. ----- You can support The Stupendium on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/thestupendium Grab your official Stupendium Merchandise! OMG this is the song that originally introduced me to your music! Definitely a very lovely surprise

Valderoth

One of my all l time favourites of your channel. With the remaster it's even better, the greater impact of each different phrase. It all works so well, glad to hear it as always.

I live on the edge of the Mojave desert. Last summer my morning playlist had this song and "A Purpose for New London" as the number two and three songs. Looks like it'll be the same this year

Ian Jarrard

I'm why is the video so out of sink with the words in the music. Feels rushed or somthing.

Gabriel Martin

quite literally a chilling performance

Wander

The original was wonderful, but the remaster genuinely gave me chills.

YourHostFritz

Amazing!! I absolutely love the frost punk songs!!!!

Bree

This is a stunning update for an already amazing song!

Your first collab with Dan was what introduced me to you in the first place, but I was listening to this song yesterday and I was thinking about how superb this song is. While you're remaking things... any chance of an update to "And Then I Prey" ?

The original is one of my favourite songs (not just nerdcore, music in general) and the first of the Stupendium's songs I bought and listened to it on repeat for weeks on end (along with a purpose for new London). I think it is a good remix of a great song. I know this is just personal preference but the autotuning at the start and the stronger drum beat get in the way of the voice. When I heard the original it felt more 'real', like someone actually trying to explain their situation and justify their actions and now my brain is distracted, going 'dance song, dance song'. It just doesn't fire my imagination the way the first version did. Could just be me being a stick in the mud. Still good though (actually haven't known Stupendium to release a 'bad' song, just not to my personal liking. Don't know of any other artist I can say that of).

Holy crap in a handbasket, this is amazing. The new bass drum beat also really helps set the pacing of the verses. It's amazing. ETA: Well, not new. But now it's clearer.

Panferno

I played both synced just for fun and it sounds so freaking epic

Wilackan

Oh, that's some power you've added to this one ! Not to say the original wasn't good, but here, just with the bass and the several layers on the chorus, I kept on shivering throughout the whole song. Excellent job again mister !

Destronium

Oh thats buttery smooth.. like wow the difference

Do you plan on making a BTS/Green Screen for this video?
