Nikki and Steven y’all are going to love this tv show it’s so good ❤️❤️

Idk if yall figured it out or not but John Blackthorn was Barney on Peaky Blinders. Actor’s name is Cosmo Jarvis.

Nikki Handled the baby part much better than I thought she would. A fun fact this story is Historical Fiction. It's closely based on real life events. Just name changes and different order events. But it is not a bad way to get introduced into Japanese history.

I was hoping this was the new show!! 💜

I actually watched this before Peaky and when we were introduced to Barney, I’m like “Hey, I know you!!” 😂

ProphecyGirl_

I can’t remember but I might have seen Shogun before I was introduced to Barney as well haha. I can’t really remember for sure tho.

Shogun is such an amazing show. Top tier production values. No wonder it's been nominated for ALL te Emmy's!

Rachel Saunders

This show is Amazing, and I hope you guys love it as much as I do, I would definitely suggest going back and rewatching it just so you can pause it to read the dialouge. You don't want to miss anything. I can't wait till the next episode!

Audra Muncy

I loved this show, I have watched you both for years and I know you will too, it's right up your alley. Always love your reactions!!!

Jason Weiner

Had hoped that we were done with subtitles. Thankfully there is only 1 season to read.

Great pick. I read the book, and watched the original movie with Richard Chamberlain years ago. So, this series are a refresher for me. I forgot more than I remembered, but watching this series brings back what I remember with the same excitement. It's an epic fiction, with historical events and culture. You're going to love it.

Probably the most beautifully written and subtle dramas of the year, with absolutely top tier acting and production. It’s so worth it. Looking forward to watching with you two!

Oh shit!! This is the best show of the year!

Cristina

Holy cannoli! Back to subtitles for what many of us hope will be an Emmy award-winning performance Sanada-san (& others)! This is gonna be awesome.

Miche

I'm so glad you two are watching this series. It is my top pick for shows, next to The Glory. Cannot wait for the next episode. Thanks for the reaction.

Shogun has been renewed for a second season, even though they covered everything in the book.

Boiled alive is pretty brutal but then you look up some of the insane ways they excecuted people in Europe through the ages and its pretty tame in comparison

eemersonm

So stoked you guys are giving this show a go! It's definitely the best show of 2024.

Kevin

To answer your question: Osaka castle very much still exists in Osaka.

Nolan schwab

So excited you are watching this. Time to get caught up, this quickly became one of my favorite shows all time.
