Excited to watch this later and hear your thoughts and then rant about mine in the comments section.

At the end, i was just glad it was over. I also think Taylor Sheridan just enjoys writing women getting tortured/suffering. I understand things are hard, and can be hard, but GODDAMN, does he like to heap the pain on the women.

Ang

They could have just made the 1st episode and last. But it was nice finding out she was a Rainwater. I hope they bring her up in the new 1944. But out of all the Yellowstones this was by far the worse

Blake

React to Landman next!!!!! It’s amazing. The girl who plays Elizabeth is in it

Terry Davis

i just really hate that nobody is gonna know the story of Alex and everything that she went through to get to Montana, she went through so much to make it there and be with Spencer, i just wish her story would have been able to be shared with future generations.

Eric Royer

so, the widow spencer met had a son. this set up a potential conflict in inheriting the ranch between a legitimate heir an an illegitimate one, in the late 60s (as spencer would have passed in 1969 according to elsa) eager to see the next chapter of the Yellowstone legacy come to life

Terry Davis

I agree.. they really need to react to Landman or lioness.. or both.. im a bit obsessed with Lioness at the moment.

Blake

I haven’t checked out lioness yet

Marshall Fosset (Jennifer Carpenter) is one of the main characters in "Dexter" she plays Debra Morgan (Dexter's sister) you guys need to watch that show at some point it is amazing!

The rifle that Spencer was using the 416 Rigby double rifle, to buy a new version of it today will run you around $175,000+ from the original manufacture.

nikkistevenreact

Interesting thing to add to the story - so that will be the focus for the next one?

I Can't Wait For That, 1923 Was A Great Series, I'm Gonna Miss It So Much The Actor Who Played Spencer Was Great, Can't Wait To See Him Again

Hi! Thank you so much for reacting to the last two episodes so quickly. I honestly think this episode is one of the top three in the entire universe — but it was also incredibly heartbreaking. I cried so much over the whole Alex situation. Now, about the “Train Station”… is it because that’s exactly where Elsa, speaking on behalf of Alex, said, “Maybe this is the last time I see him”? That loving gaze between Spencer and Alex (Alex inside the train, Spencer outside) — it’s like that moment stayed with Spencer, deep in his mind and subconscious. It was as if his wife was moving toward death — poetic, almost. Yes, they did meet again later, but that mutual glance at the train station stayed with him. And that’s why the place was later called “Train Station” — a symbolic point of no return, a journey toward death. The location had already been chosen by the villain, of course, but the meaning behind the name… that’s my interpretation. These are just my own thoughts and takeaways...

Lioness is definitely a must see!!

Gelon

Jack's death frustrated me. It was so unnecessary. Alex's death devastated me. Keep the Sheridan Universe going! Lioness should be next!!

Brandon Sklenar who played Spencer said in a recent interview that he would for sure come back as Spencer in 1944 if they wanted him to. So i assume we'll see him in 1944, his character is still alive at that point and it would be crazy to not have him in it. Also his son would be in his earl 20's in 1944, so seeing their dynamic as father and son will be cool to see.

SAMCRO_89

Its not confirmed that Alex and Spencer's son is the father of Kevin Costner's John, but i think most can agree that he is, the timing adds up when you think about it. In 1944 the sequel to this series Spencer's son should be in his early 20's so we may get more concrete answers in that.

Allegedly prior to the penultimate episode of 1883 Paramount + asked Taylor Sheridan for a second season of 1883. He then told them he had two other stories written. One which would be set in the same period of 1883, they asked him if they could bring in any of the 1883 cast to that story to which he said not really. However Paramount+ put out press releases calling the show the second season of 1883. In the end he convinced Paramount you cant sell it as season 2 of 1883 without anyone from the original attached to it. So they settled on Lawmen: Bass Reeves which was based on a real life law man. But unlike Jennifer Carpenter's character in 1923 who is a version of the first female US Marshall but in actuality the real life version was a Marshall in the 1880's. Paramount then asked Taylor Sheridan about the second project he was planning to do next. He explained it would be set in 1932 and involved Elsa's brothers. They asked him how much of the story was already written then he said just about all of it. Then Paramount plus requested he write it a second season. So he expanded the 8 episode concept into two seasons added in the Rainwater storyline & Native American suffering while expanding the obstacles Spencer would face to get back home. It was the 1900's version of the Odyssey set in America. I have a strong feeling since we didn't get an Elsa voice over explaining Jack's Wife & baby's fate they will return to the Yellowstone in 1944. Likely Jack's son was also named John and Spencer's son is a misdirect. If Jack's son John is Kevin Costner's grandfatherbl the seven generation prophecy works. If John's Father is Spencer's John Tate would only be the sixth generation.

so good this was by far my favourite series you have reacted too i loved it so much !

Stacey O'Brien

Yes, per Elsa, Spencer doesn't die until the 60's. So we should see more of him.

Joey Patterson

The next Sheridan show you should watch is landman with billy bob thornton

Eric Royer

I'd suggest either Tulsa King or Mayor of Kingstown, they have multiple seasons complete. they could also divert over to finish the Sheridan movies, I don't think they've done "Wind River" or "Hell or High Water."

Eric Royer

I think its just an interesting idea for one, they wouldn't have gone out of their way to mention it otherwise. Sheridan has discussed several different series and some have been in development for a while but I am unsure if there's been an announcement of what is next for the yellowstone franchise. Spencer and Alex's characters were amazing though, so 1923 is going to be a tough act to follow. One of those concept shows was set in 1944 so we'd see more of Spencer in that series. His and Alex's son would be coming of age and the widow's son might be nearing it, we don't have any information on when he was born. Spencer's kid may also have been drafted for service in WW2, so there's that as well.

Eric Royer

we don't know how much she told Jacob on the train or in the hospital, so maybe

Eric Royer

Landman is good, Billy Bob is top tier in that show. I'm also in the boat of "needing to see Lioness" though ;)

Eric Royer

agree, he has great leading man vibes, he has a great career ahead of him

Eric Royer

sexy time was fun...torture porn was not! could have done without that

sandrinegeller

Yeah I still hate this ending. Like Alex dying makes sense but why couldn't she have had a few happy months on the ranch and died in childbirth with a full term baby so all the misery at least led to some joy and we wouldn't all have to be baffled by how a very premature baby survived in 1924 with no medical intervention? Like the creator just went about everything in the dumbest way and the whole season was so slow. Season 1 is an A++ to me but season 2 is like a C-.

Gelon

Not comprehending your point. I am well versed in the Sheridan universe. Both Tulsa King and Lioness have 2 seasons aired. Mayor of Kingstown has 3 seasons aired. I am speaking strictly to series not film for Sheridan. Between your two, I'd go Mayor of Kingstown over Tulsa King.

Angie Moggy

Look at their playlist. They are Dexter fans and they knew who the Marshall was right away.

Eric Royer

I hadn't realized Lioness had two seasons now

TheWhiteQuill

Plus we have Elizabeth and Jack’s child so it would be interesting if all three were in the 1944 series…. That child could be someone raised in the city who comes to Yellowstone to meet the cousins… could be very interesting. Fingers crossed we get 1944!

House Of W

This was a season that I both liked and was incredibly frustrated with. N&S conveyed pretty much everything that most people were feeling. The only thing I'll is Banner's men shot with the accuracy of Star Wars Imperial Stormtroopers while team Dutton was lethal.

Sandy

By far the worse? Are you talking in terms of the outcomes or the quality of the story overall. I think the acting and story were superbly done. Of course I hated two of the outcomes.. jack and alex, but at the same time Sheridan is known for tragedies. You cant watch 1883 and not know that. But the show was excellent with one flaw..they could have condensed that 2nd season into 4 episodes and just had one mini series.
