Im so excited but so fucking heartbroken. I didn’t play the game but Joel dying did get spoiled for me I just didn’t know when or how. I 100% wasn’t expecting it in ep 2…. Just WOW

Dina was AWESOME. I totally agree. Her acting was phenomenal in episode 1

Love the turnaround on the new episode being so quick. What an amazing piece of television.

Great reaction & analysis as always. Heartbreaking episode but everything about it was A+. Kaitlyn Dever was absolutely amazing I dont think you could ask for anything more. While I get some of the concern over physicality but I don't care if she was 7ft tall 350lbs or 5ft 85 lbs she was intimidating & commanded controlled of the scene. She was like a Viper lashing out when anyone even attempted to offer a different POV about the situation. You could see how her team was tense & timid in her presence. For anyone that is a fan of Justified we saw Kaitlyn Dever at 13 or 14 yrs old command attention and hold her own against veteran actor after veteran. So when she was cast I knew she was perfect. On a more depressing note I think she managed to take her own pain, anger & grief into this role, since less than a month into production she lost her mother to cancer. I am so sick of the world giving oxygen to hate, negativity & trolls. It is disgusting how people attack shows, actors & projects. Bella has been fantastic. The most ridiculous aspect of the hate from the casting choices; that Pedro even got for being cast but more so Bella is when the games were created they purposely designed Ellie & Joel to be non descript so anyone could play them or feel like them playing the game. I really wish creators, studios, athletes & artists would come together and demand the parties in charge of algorithms (social media & such) change them to stop rewarding hate & negativity. Especially frustrating to me are the idiot creators who swear they are done with (insert franchise, game, tv movie) but then always happen to be the first ones commenting whenever news, announcements, trailers & releases occur despite declarations of being done. I have grown tired of everyone capitulating to the overly vocal minority and the constant need for punching down.

Knew this was coming, but I'm still genuinely shocked they did it so early in the season. Given they've broken game two up into two seasons, I'd have expected this to happen midway through this batch of episodes, or maybe even as the cliffhanger for the season finale.

Honestly, I really think that, if the Jackson Hole standoff would have actually happened in the game, it would have happened just like that. With the player in Tommy pov. Absolutely excellent.

Kaitlyn Dever (Abby) says that her mom passed away from breast cancer just weeks before beginning her journey on 'THE LAST OF US' set. Her moms funeral was three days before she shot her first scene, which happened to be THE scene with Pedro Pascal. Just imagine all the real emotions going on in that scene, Kaitlyn thinking about her mom, acting as Abby thinking about her dad. So brave of Kaitlyn and brilliant acting.

I've yet to play the games. Crying so hard right now (after seeing this episode). Didn't expect it. Great reaction.

I cried so hard. I was so hard on Abby called her alot of names for killing Joel but I get it he killed alot of people and he was very wrong but he built a beautiful relationship with Ellie. Joel didn't say a word about Ellie still protecting her as he died. I am 56 years old so never played the game. Didn't know anything about this world until the show so I have been heartbroken. So of the elements like Nikki said reminded of Game of Thrones which is my all time favorite. I have seen it 15 times with different reactors, this show is the only one that makes me anxious like GOT. Love you guys have been with you since Vikings. Can't wait for next week.

Gutted! I knew this was going to happen going into this season as it had been spoiled. I wasn’t even going to watch this season based on knowing that.. but I relented and did. Now I’m not sure I want to continue watching. Maybe if I know Ellie kills Abby at some point it might be worth it….. I wish Joel had told Abby her father was a POS for being willing to sacrifice a child without her consent, betraying his oath as a doctor.. but he was protecting Ellie right to the end.

😱 I am. In shock I can't believe he's really gone. I have never played the game (but soon).. So I totally thought ellie was going to save him Or he would take a breath when she was laying with him... It wasn't until they were dragging him home before.I truly realized he was gone 😢.... I think you guys are doing a good job.Not spoiling what may be coming.Keep up good work...❤️
